Guest guest
You must cut out all offending foods. Take plenty of L-Glutamine, and GLA (Borage Oil is best, I think.) If you can handle whey, give that a try. Make sure you use caprylic acid as a part of the anti-candida, because it is the only anti-fungal capable of burrowing down into the " cracks " , and killing the embedded fungi. I have leaky gut and basically I'm reduced to eating the following: 1. Legumes, such as lentils. 2. Chicken and fish, but no red meat. Use the lowest fat part such as the breast. 3. Cruciferous vegatables, such as brocolli, cauliflower, cabbage. Also aparagus. (The cruciferous veggies are also somewhat anti- fungal, so that helps too.) Absolute no-nos are wheat (because of gluten), probably all other grains too, except perhaps for brown rice if you can handle it, and no dairy products of any kind. Sorry, no butter, no yogurt. (Much to my chagrin.) Intestinal healing requires aggressive tactics like this. Try this diet and see what happens. It has *greatly* helped me. Eventually you will be able to introduce things and see what happens. But it could take six months or longer before you're ready. KB
Guest guest
Leaky gut doesn't necessarily cause any pain. Ulcers would, gall bladder problems would, pancreatic inflammation would, diverticulitis would. There are undoubtedly many other things that could cause pain. I've had leaky gut problems for years and felt no pain from it. lindaj@... Leaky gut again Dear One and all, I suspect that I have leaky gut, because something under my ribs hurts whenever I have moldy food (raisins, leftovers, peanuts), soy, or new foods like buckwheat. Bread that is not toasted gives me this pain, too. The pain may last anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours. Is this what leaky gut feels like? In my reading about it elsewhere, I got the impression that it affected the lower colon, but my problem's under the ribs. I'd appreciate any information. Thanks, Marabel p.s. I've read that bovine colostrum is excellent for healing a leaky gut. Has anyone had any experience with this? ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less!
