Regular milk is not boiled, but just heated, hence bacteria survive. I am not lactose intolerant, but I am bacteria intolerant, so If I boil my milk for just a few seconds I can tolerate it.(no upset stomach or gas) Good brands of milk will ultra pasteurize their products, and usually will say so on the package.
