Guest guest
Jukka, you bring out some very interesting ideas. What I do know however, is that Canada has a very vigorous and strong FDA (Federal Drug Administration) and does not pass an awful lot of products that are on the shelves in the United States. I think that one has to have good faith in the practioner that they are using. We put our health and lives in their hands. There are good and bad in all fields. Myra can tell you a bit about horrid medical professionals. I would go along with Myra and feel that there are too many quacks out there with not enough knowledge. Thank GOD that I have not been put into the position where my life has had to be in the hands of some surgeon. (Have been there, thank GOD got past it) Today however, if I had to make a choice to have surgery or proper medical intervention, I dont know what I would do. I hope and pray daily that GOD looks upon me favorably so as not to place me in that scenario. At present I need to undergo some dental work (probably root canal) and I am even avoiding that as I have not yet found a dentist who I like. I refuse injections (freezing) and just cant give anyone card blanche to cut me. don't know why I am so afraid, perhaps it is all of the bad experiences I have had. Anyhow, I really enjoy your posts. You have some really valuable and interesting ideas. Have a great one! a

However, caffeine is not only a poison, it's also a _drug_ and I am completely 100 percent addicted to it... I can't function well in the morning until I have a can of diet coke... this may sound weird to some, but I hate coffee so this is where I get the caffeine. I would like to stop drinking it, but I get these terrible blinding headaches and shakes and cravings-- I can give up everything else with no problem, it seems, but not soda. I work, I go to school, I take care of my family, (okay, it's a husband and a pug, but it's till my family,) and so I don't have enough time to go through a withdrawl that's going to have me cranky, shaking, and blind from migraines right now. Do you have any suggestions how to get through it? Also, the water in our apartment tastes like chlorine to me. We live in a semi urban area, and I know it can't be good for me. I'm also a student, like I said, and can't exactly afford to be spending tons on bottled water. Do you have any suggestions for this? Thanks for listening to me rant. I guess it sounds silly to say I am addicted to diet soda, but I really am. -jenny -- http://users.downcity.net/~mchapman " A dream to some......a Nightmare to Others! Maybe that way you could wean yourself off the caffeine more painlessly; that's the way a lot of people wean themselves off regular coffee and onto decaf. Then if you gave up the sodas you wouldn't have caffeine withdrawal to contend with. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

Guest guest
Hi, It may not be the caffine that you are addicted to. It could be Aspartame which is a sweetner and causes the same withdrawal effects that you are having. It is a poison look it up on the net. Guest guest
Recipe for Homemade Ginger Ale 1 small ginger root 3C water juice of 3 lemons carbonated water Stevia to taste Peel and grate ginger root. Boil in 3 cups water for about 10-15 minutes until syrupy. Allow to cool. Add lemon juice. Keep this ginger syrup in your refridgerator. To make ale. Add about 2-4 Tb to a 8oz of carbonated water. Add stevia to taste. This gets me by when I am having bad cravings. Adjust amount of syrup and stevia to suit your tastes.
