The Thyroid Society has sent me literature stating that this is a scam. I

wouldn't mess with my thyroid without a complete blood thyroid panel. Some

practicioners will prescribe thyroid or synthroid based on a low body temp

alone, but everyone's body temp varies a bit.

Good call. I had the full works done yesterday, because I've got

classic hypothyroid symptoms, and a mum with a huge thyroid

goitre who had awful suymptoms for years, but we've both always

had perfectly normal TSH and T4 levels. What Dr.

describes seems to fit the bill, and I'm getting desperate - my

candida's almost back to normal, my gut's barely leaking at all, I've

struck to the diet, but I feel worse than ever lately, so *something*

has to be wrong, and with my family history, my money's on my

thyroid! My symptoms responded beautifully to kelp (iodine) for

years - it was like somebody turning a light on in my head - but

that fizzled out as the candida took hold.

Ah well - just have to wait and see what my T3 level is, I guess. My

body temperature hasn't been above 36.6 C all week, apart from

one reading of 37.1 C when I'd just got out of a hot shower, but I'm

not planning to do anything based just on that!

Who, me? Yup, and that's not it, got a tiny amount of mercury in

my system but nowhere near enough to be making me this ill,

according to my VEGA tests. I'm convinced it's my thyroid. My

mum went through this exact same thing in her 20s, and has

always had yeast problems as well, but she wasn't diagnosed until

she grew a huge thyroid goitre years down the line.

Still getting my fillings taken out the instnat I can afford it, though!
