Guest guest
Carmen! From what I've heard it's like this: Stevia has been stopped by the EU commission. It's not allowed to be sold here. Germany is against it and that is because they have huge economic interests in the sugar business. So, you see, the world is cruel and maffioso! Health and well-being doesn't count at all, but money sure does. I know that I sound bitter and I am. I don't know how to cope with the diet without any sweet taste at all. Dr. ! Welcome to the group! We sure can need some more help and advice. You seem to have survived this horrible condition and that's what we all aim at. Guest guest
for Pia and Carmen (and other Euros out there), I just bought some yesterday in the local vitamin store. It's pouder and 100% Stevia (no additives) and come in amounts of 50 grams (a little pot full). This is in the Netherlands. According to the Dutch info I just received, it is considered perfectly harmless by our gorvernment, no sideeffects whatsoever, not even in long term use... Maybe you can order it from here, or if you are really desperate, I'll send you some, postage can't be too much, because it's very light. Or I can give you the address and phonenumber of the company that sells it. They also have the liquid kind, but it had 10% alcohol, so I thought that would not be good for the candida-diet (can anyone confirm that?). I haven't tried it yet, but I'm interested to see how it will work out!
