the bloating, exactly? Air? Food? Fecal matter? Massive amounts of

candida? And what is the physical mechanism that causes it to happen?

Gas given off from yeast/bacteria as they metabolize food is one

common cause. Some people do not have the proper enzymes to break

down beans and have gas. The enzyme product they sell in the stores

for this, Bean-o, is a capsule full of the enzyme needed. But if you

have yeast, it is most likely the yeast.

Another cause may be extra water not 'metabolized' properly. Each

molecule of food broken (each bond) releases one molecule of water.

One cause, I have found, is if I eat foods that I am not supposed to eat,

like wheat, my body reacts to it by surrounding the offending molecule with

water. This is common with people with food allergies or intolerance's.

Hence I can eat very little, but could feel like I stuffed myself, and my

stomach will be huge.

I only get this way when I eat things that contain wheat or corn which I am

severely intolerant of.

That's interesting - I wonder if I have food allergies. I know that my

candida is under control, because I don't feel terrible anymore - but I

still get this bloating sometimes. I may look into having some allergy

testing done!

for me it is not. I get bloating but never flatulence. Two different

things. The bloating goes away after a few hours unless I eat another

trigger food.

Ali,

Before you go through the awfulness of allergy testing, which I have had many

times, I would invest in the following book, " the False Fat Diet " by Elson M.

Haas, M.D. It deals with food intolerance's and how to find out you have

them, and what to do about them. (it also deals with detoxing your system)

Allergy testing does not show intolerance's, just alergies. I am not

allergic to wheat, or corn, just intolerant and the testing came back

negative.

Also this all ties into the blood type diet, since I am an O and wheat and

corn are both major no no's for me. Most of the foods that make me bloat are

on the no list for my blood type.

Hope this helps
