Guest guest
I've noticed that I make more trips to the bathroom when I have a flare-up (actually, it was the other way around -- I noticed I was going to the bathroom *less* after I started treating my candida!). And yeah it's a drag to keep getting out of bed all night... BTDT! Some nights it seemed to make more sense to just go to sleep on the throne!! Drag yourself out of bed, rush in there, and very little happens! Pay attention to the odor of your urine -- a change could be a tip-off of a candida flare-up. (unless you've been eating asparagus... but that's another story!) I haven't figured out anything " special " to do about it -- I just make extra sure to stay away from gratuitous carbs, and double up on probiotics and antifungals. Maybe you could try *unsweetened* cranberry juice (available at health food stores), or cranberry pills/caps? Also, is there any way you could keep a hospital-type plastic urinal next to the bed, to cut down on the wake-up factor of the bathroom trips? Or even opt for an absorbent product for a week or two, so you can get more rest? You're probably not going to make much health headway on only 2-3hrs sleep/night. ~ ~ help me urinary problem > > > Hi everyone, i'm new here. > > i was a candida sufferer and i believe i now have it under control, > all my symptoms dissapeared except one, i urinate 15-20 times a day. > I had my prostate checked, it is fine. In my case, it is noticeably stronger, and unpleasant... not sure how else to describe it... kinda like trying to describe how blue the sky is, ya know? Basically it's just one more thing to pay attention to and look for *changes* from your *own* norm... just like you might already do for flatulence, sinus problems, or any of the other myriad things we have the dubious pleasure of dealing with! Guest guest
Hi, vincey: Wow! I do that, too! Only I'm JUST now coming to terms with the fact that I probably have a serious candida problem (my symptoms aren't weak ones, unfortunately for me). But... I too get up several times a night to go to the bathroom! I also go from one day feeling like I have a bladder infection (no matter HOW much water I drink a day, and I drink a LOT), to feeling like I don't have one. I mean, the bladder becomes SO irritated that it bleeds, then after a day or two of drinking more water---it goes away! WEIRD. I hope you find an answer to your question because I'm waiting eagerly to hear it, too! Good luck. > > > Hi everyone, i'm new here. > > i was a candida sufferer and i believe i now have it under control, > all my symptoms dissapeared except one, i urinate 15-20 times a day. > I had my prostate checked, it is fine. Guest guest
Yeah, my bladder is pretty sensitive, too. If I eat dairy foods (since I'm allergic to casein) or go way off my candida diet, I'll get blood in my urine, an irritated urethra, or an infection (or any combination of the three). At first, since the medical doctors I've seen know very little about Candida or food allergies, they were trying to tell me I had kidney stones or they would put me on the first antibiotic in their mind at the time. heh. Here I am trying to explain this so-called " mythical " disease to them and that eating dairy will give me bladder or kidney infections. I just get back on my diet, drink a ton of cranberry juice, and I'm OK. As far as using that bathroom that much at night... I do that now only because I'm pregnant - lol. But before that, it was only when going off my diet. I hope things work out for the both of you :-) Jenifer Re: help me urinary problem Hi, vincey: Wow! I do that, too! Guest guest
thanks, . I can't drink cranberry juice since I'm on Atkins, and I can't even take the pills, but I up my water even more for a few days and it seems to go away. So irritating! I wish the " good " treatments for candida weren't horribly expensive. ( > Yeah, my bladder is pretty sensitive, too. Guest guest
Oh my gosh, I forgot about the Atkins comment earlier... sorry about that. I know exactly what you mean about the expense of the treatments. They're all so darned expensive. sigh. Jenifer Re: help me urinary problem thanks, . Guest guest
<snip> didn't drink a lot of water because I didn't want to go any more. <snip> This was exactly the wrong thing to do. BT,DT... made the same mistake myself... and experienced the same improvement when I increased my consumption of WATER. Other beverages seem to increase the number of trips to the bathroom.
