Guest guest
All i know is that Ann defended several times. This whole -Ann-Russ thing makes me very suspicious. Anyway, i think we dont need to speculate on this anymore, what we wanna hear is positive results from CREDIBLE people that have been on the protocol, nothing else will convince me. schw9883@... wrote:Is it really true that Ann and are friends? Guest guest
I do not believe AT ALL that or Ann were " advertising " . But this has been discussed too many times and I don't see why it had to be dredged up again. Let me give my opinion on Russ' protocol. I am not on it, but I know for a fact that colloidal silver and oil of oregano are extremely potent at killing candida. I also know that MSM is a great detoxifier - I've seen it recommended elsewhere for other detox programs. In addition, Russ' diet is very strict. This can only be a good thing. I believe that the Russ Newman protocol should in fact be one of the most effective out there. Come March, when I am done with my three-month TL Yeast Fighters and the Chlorella cleanse I am doing, if I'm still having candida problems then I will be investing in some colloidal silver, MSM and oil of oregano! I've heard all along that these are excellent products. So please take these facts about the above antifungals into account, and don't be so quick to judge just because was enthusiastic about finding her cure. The fact is we are all different, and if something works effectively for one person, we should be happy for them - not questioning their motives. Guest guest
As you implied, the Russ protocol is nothing but 3 antifungals and a strict diet. Anyone could come up with its own protocol. Russ just happens to be selling those 3 products at a high price and some people keep advertising his website, thats what this whole issue is about. It's not cool to advertise on msg boards, i wish there was a moderator here. I'm somewhat poor and i wasted 200$. Oh and he charged me 40$ for some oil that he gave for free to other customers! People are free to discuss CS and MSM but there's no need to advertise his website otherwise more people will do like i did and get their hopes up and eventually waste $. Guest guest
Well, in that case, the price sounds steep. They are very effective antifungals to my knowlege, though, and my own intention is to buy them locally from my health food store. A word of warning I guess - shop around! Guest guest
OK N.D. so the protocol did not work for you. I am sorry. I really am. I wish it had worked for you. I am on it and I am feeling better and wondering if anyone else it also trying it. So, so far we have one recovery in and one non-recovery in N.D. And that is where we stand. Ann > From: " N.D. Guest guest
It is true that is my friend and that she got completely well on Russ's protocol. She had been sick for many many years and was thrilled with her recovery. I do keep in touch with her but she will not post here any more because every time she tried to help someone there was a backlash of negativity. I guess some people who post on this board tried the protocol and did not get well. We can't really know though, why they did not get well. Was it the protocol or was it that they did not stick to the diet properly? Or did they have an additional health problem or allergy that they do not know about that sabotaged their protocol? That is another possibility. I am not yet well but I did not stick to my diet properly over the holidays and am now trying again in earnest. It's not easy to eat only meat and veggies. > From: <schw9883@...> > Reply-candidiasis > Date: Fri, 17 Jan 2003 17:04:05 -0500 > <candidiasis > > Subject: Re: Re: Anyone, Russ Newman's Protocol? > > Is it really true that Ann and are friends? > Re: Anyone, Russ Newman's Protocol? >> >> >> In a message dated 1/18/03 12:08:19 AM Central Standard Time, >> annmalia@a... writes: >> >>> Who all is left on this board that is doing Russ's protocol from >>> naturalhealingsolutions.com? Guest guest
That's great! While I'm not on that protocol, my recovery has been to the same level as yours - I went from extremely fatigued and sleeping 12 hours, to now sleeping around 8. It's great to feel almost normal, isn't it?! I feel around 90% normal, but I'm aiming for 100% superhealth!!! Guest guest
Yes, and we can say the same thing about the protocol working for . She also juiced, ate mainly raw foods, exercised and did a host of other health management things that maybe others perhaps aren't doing on the protocol. So perhaps, we will (ALSO) not know if it was truly just the protocol that recovered her health. The important thing is to keep trying till you find the right combination of things that bring you (as an individual) to recovery. Guest guest
I was a fan of whole approach too, but I have doubts about the length of their antifungal rotations. At the end of the day, they seem to be in it for the money and selling their product. I notice on the boards there was not too much encouragement about using additional/alternative products. Guest guest
Hi. I have several comments. 1) the gist of what you are saying is absolutely true. did many things for her health and tried many plans and when she added russ's protocol/program, she got well. So, it may have been the unique combination of what she did that got her well. 2) this is why I am wanting to keep a list now of who is feeling better and who really gets well to see if the protocol works for others, too. That is the reason for my original request that all people who are on the protocol speak up so I can make a list and track it.(BTW, my measure for total recovery is to have absolutely no coating on the tongue any more, especially in the morning, and, if you are a woman, to have only clear secretions. That is the standard that I am looking for in my own recovery. this is very personal information, I know, and I don't know if others will be willing to be as honest as to really share this information on the board, but I will be sharing, if I get totally well. I think this is important enough that any of my shyness does not matter here, for the sake of all folks who are trying to get well.) 3) just to be totally clear, I believe that when she began to feel better on russ's protocol, jenny did exercise, she did eat the diet that russ prescribes which is mostly raw foods and veggies, but she did not juice per say. She did have a cabbage concoction and an apple cider vinegar concoction that she drank. The only fruit she consumed were grapefruit, kiwi and raw coconut. She also did lymphatic breathing and she used a rebounder. Cheers. > From: not2mild@... > Reply-candidiasis > Date: Sun, 19 Jan 2003 11:54:06 EST > candidiasis > Subject: Re: Re: Anyone, Russ Newman's Protocol? > > Yes, and we can say the same thing about the protocol working for . Guest guest
hi - great that it's working for you! i know that tarilee recovered from candida, and she is a very helpful nutritionist! she gave me some good advice while i was there. however, i did not always get much response if i wanted to discuss an alternative treatment, or sometimes when i asked specific questions like " can we drink alcohol again, and if so, what should we drink? " - ZERO response. i know that tarilee is very much against slipping back into old habits, and that's fair enough, but what about the occasional drink, for example (when you have recovered, of course)? a social drink once every few months? i never got answers to those questions. anyway, what sort of rotation are using? the three month rotation? i found it really strange that they suggested that, because candida becomes resistant to any antifungal if you take it for a prolonged period like that. like i've said though, we are all different! but i made my greatest progress when i was doing two to three week rotations. ali At 03:01 a.m. 20/01/2003 +0000, you wrote: >I appreciate what you're saying. Guest guest
Firstly, I don't fully agree with ND. I understand his frustration at the protocol not working for him, but I don't agree that or Ann are advertising Russ Newman's protocol. Ann is simply being constructive. If the archives show a lot of posts about Russ Newman's protocol, it's because people are trying it and are interested and impressed - and, because other people aren't posting about anything else! Remember we are ALL welcome to discuss what we are doing for our health. No one is stopping you from talking about success with other products! Guest guest
I don't think that we need to get this heated. I don't actually think that anyone needs to be upset here. I do think y'all have been talking about Russ' whatever alot (and that WOULD be because you ARE talking about it) but I don't think it is excessive, just ongoing. Now I personally don't follow this 'protocol' and I would think that there are alot of people who don't that are just sitting here reading what you are saying. If someone starts talking about something else then there will be a different discussion going on. What I'm saying is it's not worth the undue stress on your body to argue. Just discuss what you are discussing and IGNORE posts that you may find offensive, because to 'other' people reading them they don't seem so offensive. Relax! tai P.S. I am very happy for anyone who feels at all better by doing whatever they do, and am gratefull that they share what works for them. I think it takes alot to even put forth the effort to take care of yourself in this society. Just don't take things so personally or heavilly(we don't even know each other people!) Guest guest
Has anyone actually noticed amongst all this that I have been bringing up different treatments for discussion? Guest guest
I really wish this " Issue " would stop coming up but ..... since you can't beat them you might as well join them. So I'll stick my 2 cents in and then I will either shut up and put up or Leave the group. I'm sorry but I completely disagree with this. I am not taking sides but I do wish to express myself with my own opinion. This may be the unpopular view at the moment and will probably make everyone ticked at me but here goes.... I do NOT think " sharing " her enthusiasm was the TRUE ISSUE. I think it is oversimplification to blame the whole controversy on that some people can't handle other's getting well and sharing. That is offensive to me. I work hard on my health and I would only rejoice, applaud and ask a lot of darn questions at someone who was healed. If you look back in the archives you will notice that jen was quick to respond NEGATIVELY to everyone else's " methods " of cure before this all got started. This is what got to be frustrating. I think this was what caused people to start acting defensive & suspiciously. From there it seemed to snowball as other's jumped in. There were a lot of other topics that were introduced and it " seemed " like it had to be " okayed " by Jen or Russ to be talked about. Example: Food combination, candex or other yeast stuff, etc. I have no problem and would love to learn more about the ideas that Jen was sharing but I also want to hear from others too. It got a little unnerving to see other topics get immediately shut down especially when someone was having great results with something other than Russ' protocol. If you stop listening to others then, of course, they will feel resentful and not want to hear what you are saying either. Look it goes both ways. We are all looking for answers and information. I, personally, want to hear everyone's views then it is up to me to delete or add what I want. I think the " REAL ISSUE " was communication or lack of. It was wonderful to have share her experience and ideas; however, I personally wish she had just used a bit more tact and sensitivity when other's expressed there views too. I think in turn others would have not felt censored and got so suspicious. I do not think that Jen is Russ, on his payroll either or any other silly thing. I believe that Jen is probably a very nice and caring person and I don't think it was her intention to cause any controversy at all. I believe she wanted to help in the best way she knew how to. Unfortunately what was created was a split down the middle of " the russ protocol " and " other's. " That to me is very sad. We get so little help why would we spend time turning on ourselves? That to me is ridiculous. Each time (side 1) writes about how if they get better they will have to be careful about telling the group because of back lash or how Jen was victimized it starts more controversy. I cringe when I read these kind of posts. Each time (side 2) writes about how Jen is Russ or she's on his payroll. Or the protocol is a scam. It starts controversy. I cringe when I read these kind of posts. All this is doing is making people leave that need help. It was, at best, a MISUNDERSTANDING that blew up and was perpetuated by more people causing more misunderstandings and TAKING SIDES. Perhaps, we could just all start over with a clean slate and let go of the " having to be right " and win.... Because we are all going to end up losing. Our only battle should be with our illnesses NOT EACH OTHER. If I lived in an ideal world (huh) I would have Jen come back to the group and apologize for not being sensitive to other's and accidentally shutting them down or hurting feelings. I'd have other's that vented or hurt her feelings apologize to Jen for acting suspicious and then shutting her down too Sounds fair to me. Of course, pride cometh before the fall. I hope it won't be the fall of this group. If we can't get past this ..... it very well could be through continual deterioration. Perhaps if we all concentrated on how we could make the group a little better, took deep breaths and forgave irritations (because honestly no one is perfect and we all will eventually make a mistake) it could be a great place to give and receive information. Guest guest
Look, I am tired of this whole argument myself. But I need to tell you something. Candida is BIG BUSINESS for many manufacturers and there are many many products on the market out there that have additives and preservatives in them that are totally wrong for a candida person. Many people on this board, often the newbies, persist in trying these things. Jen tried many of them herself and did not get well. Many months ago Jen and I both went to see Dr. Piller, Tripp's doctor, before either of us tried Russ's protocol. She brought a huge bag of supplements to show him what she was taking and he told Jen which ones categorically will not work for a candida person. That is why Jen seemed so strong and " negative " when these posts came up. When someone posted a question about, say, threelac, Jen knew that that stuff is a joke so she jumped in to TRY TO HELP and spare that person needless expense, time and discouragement, and tried to steer them in a different direction, and it came off to some people like she was being arrogant or something, I don't know. But she really was TRYING TO HELP. It is a HUGE loss for all the people on this board, new and old, that she does not post here anymore. Now can we all let this rest? > From: not2mild@... > Reply-candidiasis > Date: Tue, 21 Jan 2003 12:55:20 EST > candidiasis > Subject: Re: Re: Anyone, Russ Newman's Protocol? > > I really wish this " Issue " would stop coming up but ..... since you can't > beat them you might as well join them.
