Hi,

I am new to the list. I just now read the archives. I was so pleased to see

the posting on

Homestactic Organisms. I have been taking those for about two months and they

have really made a difference in me. I could never have a B M without

something to help. I no longer have that problem and am now going two amd

sometimes three times. I can only give credit to this product since I have

been working on this problem for several yrs. It has done other things also

but won't go into that now. Now I have my 76 yr old father on them. He

called me five days ago to tell me he was getting low so send more!! He said

he developed a strong body odor for a few days which tells you a cleansing is

happening.

If it is ok to tell the brand name and where I get mine at a discounted price

I will later when given permission. They are quite expensive at a regular

health food store. My source also sent me the booklet Beyond Pro Biotics .

It is excellent in explaining the concept.

I just love all the info you have!!!

thanks,

edith

Myra: I don't know much about being a diabetic, althou my daughter has to

monitor her blood sugar level, what i have is Candida Tropicalis, do you

have trouble with Yeast? There is a new sugar subs. you can also use, it is

called Stevia, it is a liquid & doesn't take much. I have a recipe it is

called Monk's bread, i've never tried it but am today, 31/2 cups Rye flour (

if your allowed to eat this) 4tsp. baking powder, 2 tsp. salt 1/2

cup of oil Stevia (it calls for 1/2 cup honey) but i'm substuting the

stevia instead. 3/4 cup hot water OR milk Mix together dry ing. in

small bowl put liquids, mix together till smooth & soft but not sticky,

knead dough briefly then roll on a floured board to 1/4 inch. place on

lightly greased baking sheet & bake for 10-15 minutes at 400. Since i can't

have yeast i found this receipe so will use it instead of bread. What

state do you live in? why the 2 showers? How long have you been on this

diet? if you have yeast i can understand washing the clothes seperately but

not ironing the underwear, if you have yeast soak your underwear in a good

soap with bleach for about 1 hr. before washing, the underwear also should

be cotton so the air gets thru, & possibly do not wear any at night, if you

sweat a lot during the day you could change underwear, you need to let me

know if you do have yeast than i could give you more information, herbs &

what have you. As for your husband eating in front of you, go for a walk,

sew, read, have a snack that you can eat, try not to concentrate on what he

is eating, please write again , I can help you more after you've answered

my questions. Have a good day Myra!

Myra:I tried the bread receipe today, with out the honey it is very dry, i

used the cookie cutter & made them round, they weren't to bad, put chicken on

top, Your Dr. could start you off on Nystatin or Diflucan, Yeasts LIKES Hot

moist heat. you are not killing it by ironing your underwear. if you soak

your clothes in bleach & soap, that will take care of that, change twice a

day. don't eat the wrong foods. Look up & PRINT out the information i am

giving you & read it carefully. this is the Dr. i am seeing, he has helped

me very much. i talk to him on the phone, at least you can read his

literature to understand how smart this candida is. you have to trick it, &

go on a rotation diet every 4 days. It is very good information, the best i

have found.

drb@... Dr. Biamonte go to all of his sites & read

it.

I'll talk to you later! have a good evening! Mogdrmom

I guess I will call you Doctor Mom as that is what your name sounds like. Thank

you for

the reply.

Well, I am a diabetic. I try to eat lean meats and lots of fresh vegies. Head

aches,

swellen where I should not be. Very uncomfortable. I have a rash on my arms

and sick at

my stomach most of the time. Even tho I try to do right my husband is terrible

in that he

eats stuff in front of me all the time he knows I should not have. I try to

stay away

from carbs as they turn into sugar. Once in a while I will have toast with my

egg in the

mornings. Most of the time I have a tortia. I use brownrice syrup in my

coffee. My

naturopath told me it is digested like a carb. She told me it was ok to use

this. I am

loosing weight fast. Very tired most of the time. I try to use good hygine and

shower

twice a day. I wash my clothes seperately, and dry them then spray the dryer

with lysol.

I iron my underwear. I am afraid it is spreading can you help? Myra

Dear Dr. Mom,

I do have yeast. Two showers one in morning and one at night before bed. To

make sure I

get rid of any yeast that might be there. I don't have it all of the time, but

when I do

I get the monostate 1 and it clears it up for a while but I do not want to count

on this.

I would like to get totally rid of it. I've been married 33 years now and was a

virgin

when I got married. I've never had anything so terrible in all of my life. I

iron my

underwear because I read that heat kills yeast. I have a 14 year old daughter

and I do

not want her to get this terrible thing so I take every precotion. I don't eat

what my

husband eats but he keeps trying to force me to eat things I should not. Which

makes me

mad. I try very hard to be adult about this and am very stricked with my self.

Thank you for the bread recipe. I do use stevia and have for a long time. I

also drink a

diabetic tea that helps a lot. It is called diabetic helper. I live in the

State of

Washington.

Cheerfully Myra

Hello,

My name is Wanita . I'm from Pampa, TX., about 60 miles from Amarillo, in

the panhandle of Texas. I was diagnosed with Candida about two months ago, &

placed on the Candida diet & medication to combat it. I'm doing well; improving

symptoms, but thought it would be nice to be able to compare notes & share with

others with the same thing. My Dr. told me I'd probably had Candida for 40

years, or more, since my symptoms begin to multiply soon after I married &

became pregnant with my first child. I've been treated symptomatically for

quite a few things over the years, but the root cause had never been addressed,

until I found a Dr. who believes in Natural & Nutritional therapy. I'd told

several Dr's that I felt my body was fighting itself, but none was interested in

finding out why. Most Dr's seem more interested in keeping their patients on as

many drugs as possible to treat the symptoms; no matter what the root cause

might be. I have chosen to not go that route again. I took myself off most of

the prescription medications several years ago, by carefully tapering off.

Since then I've avoided seeing a Dr. unless I had no other choice, & have

instead been attempting to keep myself as healthy as possible with suppliments &

a good diet, while searching for a Dr. who, while either an M.D. or a D.O., so

my insurance will still pay for office visits, believes, as I do, that good

nutrition is better than drugs for good health. I finally found him two months

ago, & so far at least, am very pleased.

I'm anxious to hear from others about their experiences. Wanita

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I'll be happy to tell you where I've come from and where I am now.

Five years ago, I was so wasted from fibromyalgia and arthritis' overall

pain and inadequate sleep that I could no longer hold a thought in my

head.

I remember reading the same page over and over, just trying to get it to

'stick'.

I'll just list the rest that I can remember:

Arthritis, especially hands and hips

TMJ

Hypothyroid condition

Weak wrist

Frozen Shoulder

Insomnia--neck pain so bad I couldn't lay my head down on the pillow

Poor bladder control

Chronic nasal back drip

PMS

Heavy, painful menses

Chronic Fatigue

Three cancerous breast lumpectomies and two courses of radiation

Throat would close off--had to constantly sip water

Bruise really easily

Uterine fibroids

Positive PAP smears

Several pre-cancerous uterine episodes ----and had the affected cells

frozen off

twice

Massive gas and digestive problems

Itchy skin

Allergies to pollen, animal dander, pollution, fumes, feathers, dust,

many

foods

Chronic colon problems--6 months of diarrhea; two colonoscopies

Constipation

ALL THESE SYMPTOMS DEVELOPED ON A LACTO-VEGETARIAN DIET!

THAT CLEARLY

WASN'T ENOUGH FOR ME.

Constipation coats the intestines so nutrients are poorly absorbed and

holds

ingested foods so long that they turn to poison which is reabsorbed into

the

bloodstream. I believe that caused the rest of my problems. Dr. Paavo

Airola ['There is a Cure for Arthritis'] found a very strong link between

constipation and arthritis. I imagine the same applies to fibromyalgia,

candida--maybe all the 'chronics'. How about you?? I'm curious

about the link between constipation and other diseases. I'd appreciate

hearing.

With a letter from my doctor, I applied for Disability.

Then I met a guy who was fascinated by my predicament because he had had

a

life-diminishing body situation, also---and pulled himself out of it by

his

dietary choices. He read books to me about individuals who had guided

his

choices. He said he thought I could gain paradise health by gradually

shifting to just raw fruits and starchless vegetables, and that he would

do

the diet with me.

At the same time as was going-- " Raw! Raw! Raw! " , an Ayurvedic

practitioner was soothingly reading my pulses, and telling me that my

constitution wasn't hardy enough to eat raw foods--that I needed cooked

food, warmth and sweetness in my life! Which would YOU have been drawn

to?

, of course! He'd actually HEALed on what he was

offering---NObody

else was offering anything but temporary relief.

So I added raw fruits and vegetables to what I was already eating---and

had

a massive gas attack! But I held to it, drinking up to a gallon of

peppermint tea with maple syrup a day, which did help alot. Then, about

two and a

half months after starting, my elimination kicked in, the gas passed,

[chortle] and my body had made the switch. What I did was to gradually

add

more organic, non-starchy vegetables, green, leafy salads and fruits to

my

diet, and ONE BY ONE, eliminate hard-to-digest and clogging-up type

foods

to which I was accustomed such as all salt, grains, dairy products, meat,

fish, tofu. All these foods clog up your system, back up into your

circulation and create problems with all the systems of your body. This

switch was completed over several months. For the past four and a half

years, I

have eaten organic fruits and vegetables and NOTHING ELSE. It was 80% raw

the

first few years; for the past three months and going strong, it's been

all raw.

Wouldn't recommend doing it faster than feels right! I'd tried all raw

out briefly now

and then, earlier, but for me, it took until now to feel great,

physically, with all raw.

I'm weighing in a little light these days, but when my body is cleared of

everything it

wants to unload, I am confident that I will be at whatever is my optimum

weight.

I know that it sounds very radical to have no concentrated protein or

starch

in my diet, but these foods are difficult to digest, are constipating,

and

will bring your health down if you don't have a strong enough digestive

fire

to break them down. When your health is compromised, you need to get

back

to the basics concerning food choices: fresh fruits and starchless

vegetables.

THESE HAVE THE MOST AVAILABLE, MOST EASILY ASSIMILATABLE

PROTEIN ON EARTH! [They also provide the richest nutrition in all other

areas as well. So you don't need as much as is usually recommended.]

I've

come to accept from many knowledgeable sources that cooking proteins and

starches renders them nearly impossible to digest--that they sit

fermenting

and rotting because they can't be moved out quickly enough.

Recently, I added flax seed oil to my daily salad for the essential fatty

acids. I added flax seed, soaked overnight, to further improve

elimination.

..

I FEEL THAT ALL FORMS OF CONSTIPATION INCLUDING DIARRHEA ARE

THE BASIS OF DISEASE.

I might mention that over the years, I had been advised by an herbalist

to use

several teas; by an acupuncturist, several tinctures, homeopathic

remedies

and ointments; by a Chinese Medicine practitioner, chicken, Chinese

medicines and teas; by M.D.s, an armload of vitamin and mineral

supplements.

..Seeing no dent in my ill health, I dumped all forms of supplements when

I

began to include fruits and vegetables and to eliminate cooked starches

and

the last vestiges of animal proteins from my diet.

My health has made quantum leaps for the better! I'm climbing mountains;

can do hefty physical work; dance vigorously several times a week. My

concentration is much improved, though 'mind fog' perhaps will be the

last

vestige of fibromyalgia to go.

A daily salad rich in dark greens such as dinosaur (or 'black') kale,

sprouts, spinach, arugula, boy choy--with freshly made avocado/lemon

juice/scallion/garlic dressing is what I added to my diet which made the

most difference of all. I also juice vegetables, orange juice and wheat

grass

daily. Twice or three times a day, I use reverse-osmosis water that I

purify further

in the sun to make a quart of lemonade made with juice of one

organic lemon and 1 T. organic raw honey.

I bone-deep believed that these changes would pull me through! Surely my

mindset is powerfully working for me. It certainly kept me going through

days when I needed the boost of a home colonic or during an arthritic

flare

up. Reports from others on this path offer reassurance that flare ups

are a

sign of healing. Healing looks like the disease, only for a briefer

period

of time. If you are eating harmful things or are burdening yourself with

stress, it may be disease. If nothing harmful is going in, most likely,

it is a flare up that will quickly pass.

As far as I'm concerned, THIS IS THE CURE FOR FIBROMYALGIA! I have

nothing to sell or gain. I'm sharing this because I want to offer what

has already

been a miracle in my life. I'd be glad to share information

sources--books,

menus, my personal recipes, etc., if this approach appeals to anyone.

This way of life was a joint (pun intended!) effort with my friend,

. Having a

juicing buddy with whom I prepared meals and bought in bulk was

immeasurably

supportive. But what it really comes down to is doing it for your own

life, in awe of

having a body this time around.

We're in this together. Have heart! I believe you too can heal!

Jean

Dear

I've experienced a lot of what you have been through. I have a sheeps

stomach and gut. I've also got the X rays to prove it and the ultra sound.

I am concerned with the fruit and the diabetes, also the honey and fruit

with the candidia. There is more wrong with me that was doctor caused. My

other Doctors have confirmed this. But, I am through with Doctors now and

just going natural. Please share with me. Cheerfully Myra

What are your 3 meals for an average day? Could you give an example?

HI, edith,

Did my New, Improved Version get to you? Hasn't shown up on my screen

yet.

We had a home business [wheatgrass and sunflower sprouts]. That helps

ALOT! Now, things definitely get left out on some days. Mornings, I do

the lemonade first thing; do WG/OJ; and prepare the smoothie to drink as

I drive. Cooler with blue ices keeps 'Sauri Rolls' ingredients chilled

for a picnic lunch. When I get home again, I might make carrot juice

before having the salad--or I might just do a second lemonade instead.

>>

Yes

I got all, but that still seems like alot of food to me. I'm very interested

in growing wheat grass. That is unheard of here and certainly not available

for sale. So guess growing is next best thing.

Thanks again for your daily plan,

edith

Hello everyone My name is Chrisy Shamblin I prefer to be called Raven Iam 24

yrs old live in charlotte nc with my life partner Arlaine Rockey(37yr) and

our two children; Marissa who is 6 and is 3.Okay to the point. My

mother who is 43 her name is Shamblin and lives in Point Pleasant, Wv,

has MS when she was my age she was having problems and the docs told her it

was in her head, so now she has MS at 43 because they could see it finally on

the MRI.So anyways, I was just hospitalized few weeks ago due to the fact I

was

having symtoms of MS they ran tests on me then discharged me told me it was

all in my head they said it was due to my depression and anxiety well ive

been the happiest and calmiest in the last year since i was born and I find

it hard to belive when I can't walk that its in my head when i cant sleep

cause my legs are tingling its in my head or when im standing in a public

place and a stranger ask me if I know that my neck is jerking i cant belive

that its in my head I have tons of problems way to many to go thru hear..like

not being able to feed myself at times, taking my little grrls meds , severe

fatigue, falling easy on days i can walk cause my bodyparts dont want to

listen to what my head tells them to do waking up at night to thinking my

arms are gone because i cant feel them, or my face is numb and i taste blood

in my mouth from where i was having tremors and bite my tounge and to think i

wouldnt known if i didnot see the blood on my finger or the fact that my

babies see me walk and say mommys walking today only to know soon ill be in

the bed upstairs in pain,or trying to feed my kids breakfast and having to

ask them to help cause i cant open things, okay ill stop now they say im

crazy its in my head and refuse to give me pain meds,Im seeing a holistic

doc and he is telling me its ms.Dont know where to turn at this point.

I was wondering if any of you out there have urinary troubles with MS?

I saw uroligist today <still in the phase of getting dx > and test showed

bladder is not empting right - its only emptying 1/3 of the way! Now I

need to check out my kidneys. He put me on antibiotics for two months while

they run tests but he thinks its part of the first stages of MS, or at least

a warning light that I have MS. He told me docs wont dx MS until they have

lesions they can see..sigh..told it could take a while for them to show up

ahhh...he started talking to me <u'll have to forgive me I cant spell> about

learning how to catherize myself... is there anyone out there who can help

me ...I'm scared....then Ive got this whole yeast infection thing ive been

fighting for a year....when it rains it pours...

hanging by a shoe string,

Raven

Hi,

I recently discovered this list and am looking forward to being a part of it.

I recently (Sept. 1st to be exact) started the " cave man " diet and am taking

an anti-fungal medication which my doctor prescribed. I am doing fairly well

with the diet, however, the more I read the more confused I become. I am

hoping that the experiences of others on list list will clarify my totally

boggled mind.

Look forward to chatting with everyone.

Hello,

I am a new member and my name is . I have fibromyalgia and IBS and

also TMJ.

I was diagnosed 3 years ago. I am now going through therapy, massage

and also through alternative medicines.

I am single, 50 years old and retired. I also am President of a support

group for Fibromyalgia in Lasalle Quebec.. I find with this illness we

are learning new and wonderful things on a daily basis.

I try to stay away from medications. The only medication I am using

right now in " Celebrex " . It has done wonders for the pain. My energy

has returned. Not too sore too often. And of course " The Stick " I use

for when I have flare-ups with Fibromyalgia.

My Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Candiasis is another story.

Glad to meet all of you.
