Guest guest
Try having dr do doxycycline. It is the first to hit with and ask about flagyl. All oral meds. Also whatever movement/exercise he can do. This kills the bugs. [ ] Father gravely ill HELP!!!!! To make a long story short my father had been diagnosed with what was thought to be Parkinson's disease. The most obvious symptoms started in 2007. His path followed Parkinson's with ridigity of the limbs, extreme difficulty swallowing, frozen speech, anxiety and fuzzy thinking. (When he was admitted in July they inserted a feeding tube in his stomach because at that point he really couldn't eat anymore, and now not at all it's straight feeding tube) It was in July of this year that he acquired asperation pneumonia they gave him Rosephine we noticed him improve dramtically over the next 24 hrs. He was about 30-40% better which was encouraging since we had not seen that type of improvement since he had gotten sick. However it didn't last he was put on clyndamyican for 10 days for the pneumonia. When the antibiotics stopped he declined rapidly, he was also severly mistreated at the facility he was in, they refused to treat him with antibiotics. After a couple of weeks there we were able to get him transferred to a better nursing home. My brother's boss is a very wealthy man and he has lymes, he had seen doctors from all over the world and the one that had the best success was Dr. Hoffman in Waupaca,WI. We got him in to see Dr. Hoffman and he put my Dad back on Clyndamyican. He started to get better. But he longed to be stronger like he was(before this started my Dad could run circles around most 20yr olds he's 76)so he chose to get a picc line and Rosephine was started. He started to decline again, so they started rotating clynda and rosphine. He still declined. He started losing his balance and has fallen multiple times. The thought at this point that it may have gone too far before we were able to treat it. Advanced lymes with neurological symptoms such as his are in the very advanced stages. Guest guest
sounds like he might need to detox. Is his doctor advising him on this important subject? Guest guest
Thank You all for your suggestions. He is seeing a lyme literate doc. Sorry for mentioning his name. I thought it might help others to know who he was. This doc treats alot of people for this. However the thought is that my Dad might be so weak and so far into the disease that treatment has to be delicate and might not work. If we had gotten him diagnosed and treated sooner. Well, who knows... Thank you for the detox and doxy ideas. However he is far to weak for either. Dr. H said that putting him on Doxy now, since you usually get worse before better, could kill him. And I'm not sure besides they lymes what toxins are in him since he only has tube feedings of a nutrient solution(sort of like ensure). He hasn't eaten in a very long time. And answer to the treatment question he started on antibiotics for lyme in early September. Dr. H said it takes time, but he seems to be getting worse by the minute. He's a very tough former Marine and I know that is what is keeping him here, I just don't know how long he can last now. He is so weak and tired. If anyone has a similar experience or knows of one like this please let me know. THANK YOU AGAIN EVERYONE AND THANK YOU FOR THE PRAYERS AND THOUGHTS!! Guest guest
Robin: I am sorry to hear about what is going on with your dad. I was diagnosed with Lyme 7 years ago, I understand the pain, hopelessness, anger and all those other feelings that go with the disease and for those around you watching you go through it. First, with treatment and I think many will agree you will start to feel a little better then you (depending on what type of Lyme you have) you're body will herx (it is stirring up the toxins of Lyme) and you will get worse before you get better. My suggestion to you is that your brother's boss is probably your key here, find out how to get to see his Lyme doctor and from there I think you will get the results you are looking for. Remember, the healing process with Lyme is like a roller coaster sometimes and don't let that discourage you. Your father is very blessed to have a daughter who is willing to do a lot of leg work to see him get well again. Please keep us all posted on his recovery journey and be well yourself. Blessings, DonnaLee ________________________________ From: Robin <keynamira@...> Sent: Sun, November 28, 2010 1:25:14 AM Subject: [ ] Father gravely ill HELP!!!!!  To make a long story short my father had been diagnosed with what was thought to be Parkinson's disease. Guest guest
I was working on this yesterday when I saw your post and would like to get it out to you, given the urgency of your dad's situation. In my opinion, he's way too weak to do antibiotics and other drugs... he needs to be slowly, gently, safely built up from the inside, so his body can do what it needs to do to heal. I would be happy to talk with you off-line about something my son and I have been using for the last 3 months that's making a remarkable difference. I'm not ready to post about it at length on-line yet, and would be happy to share. I so get the body giving up thing - my son and I were both right there, in spades! Anyway, this technology builds cell energy at the mitochondrial level, which lets the whole body/immune system strengthen and then fight the lyme, etc. itself, rather that coming from an approach that kills tons of organisms on top of a terribly weakened immune system, and then adds in all the antibiotic damage, as well. It's just way too hard on the body - or, it certainly was for us, and that method did not work for us at all. I just can't believe the difference in both of us - it has been, like I said, remarkable. I've been driving again, for the first time in 3 or 4 years, wanting to get up and do things in the morning, having a happier brain - what a gift that is! - and generally functioning much much better. I just did Thanksgiving dinner by myself for 6 people, cleaned, wanted to cook, was on my feet/on the go for days and still have energy - it's amazing. ' Please give a call, so at least you have options for him. Cindi 410-771-4994 O 443-980-7369 Cell [ ] Re: Father gravely ill HELP!!!!!
