Guest guest
To all I want to extend my wishes to each of you! As an ill Gulf War veteran nurse who spent years on the hill trying to get action it was with relief to see the vaccine group get started and push for hearings. You all did very well but now we are all there together. This next year we must all come together and push for effective legislation to help both deployed and non deployed ill Gulf war veterans and those that became ill after taking the mandatory vaccines. WE need to push for service connected disability, we need to push for ability to use independent doctors, we must push for truth out of them......we must find a whistle blower from within the system, we must push for medical research independent of DOD and VA for treatment options. So we have a lot of work to do! But we have done alot in just getting the issue to hearings. So to each of you while we celebrate religious holidays, the beginning of a new year, new administration, new congress remember to value yourselves, your family, and pray for strength to carry on the mission that has presented itself to us all. I wish each of you a blessed Christmas, Hanukka, etc and a promising start to the New Year. DSNurse
Guest guest
Dear List; Merry Christmas everyone from my family to our family. Thanks to Gretchen for bringing us all together for such an important duty as citizens in protecting Servicemembers from military medical abuse. The year to come will be an important one in sinking the nail in the anthrax vaccine immunization program coffin. We must all continue to stay focused on forcing the senior leadership of the DoD to hold themselves accountable, remedy records and care for the ill. Keep the faith, " Buzz " L. Guest guest
Bert. Talk about a white Christmas. LOL I don't think I would care too much for all that snow. Here in CT we haven't really had too much snow the past few years. We keep saying we're going to get it all at once. LOL I'm near the water and the snow usually stays upstate and we get an inch or two. Nothing yet, since it's been so warm. We did get some rain but that didn't last. Hope you had a nice Christmas. Guest guest
" unfortunately I gave in " should be replaced by I ENJOYED THAT. Not a good idea to turn this " diet " into a perfectionist religion. If it was that bad, eat a little less today(with that good stuff you've described below) and plan out your week for a few more " bad meals. " Maybe look at the metabolic type diet to see if your system needs a little nudging on the protein-carb-fat balance. It might help with the cravings, it might not. If Christmas(or anyday if that's the case) seems to center around food, look at your life and see if you are filling your days with " work/jobs/routine " or if you're really doing something you really, really like. Worrying about your food intake will not be such a problem. jb(hiccuping after a meal of pizza, fries & bbq sauce.....yummmmmy!) -- In , " Gaye <pdxgaye@y...> " <pdxgaye@y...> wrote: > Hoping to do better today. > Last nite, Christmas Eve tempted me with Pizza & Cashews, > and unfortunately I gave in. > > Today, I started with fresh pineapple. > Mom & I plan having chicken. > > She will be having Kelloge stuffing on the side. Guest guest
Merry Christmas Debby! Midnight mass is so mystical and special. I wish I could have been there to hear you sing. What a wonderful Christmas to be able sing at the masses. I sing like a dying frog so I don't do it unless I am alone! I remember the old saying "He/She who sings, prays twice." What a great gift. Our night began at 10:30 at the Christmas Eve service. It was such a wonderful service. I had been asked to sing a solo and chose 's Boy Child...a song made famous by Harry Belefonte I believe. Anyway, it is a Carribian tune...very sweet song. Then the midnight Mass....such a spectacular night! We got home, and I got about 3 hours of sleep before rising to lead the carols for the 7:00 AM Mass. It was my first time leading the songs, and of course, the priest wanted the entire Mass sung...fortunately, I was told at Midnight Mass that the pianist would be there...he has cantored many times before so he was able to do the formal Mass parts. I just led the carols....it was a fun morning. > >Then, I was asked to do my solo again at the 8:30 and 10:00 AM Masses and also asked to stand in for the soloist who was not at the 8:30 Mass. It was a wonderful morning...needless to say, I did take a two hour nap before our daughter and son in law came over. Guest guest
Ohhh Sherry, that is a beautiful saying! Wow...He who sings, prays twice....cool! Well, frogs have a special voice from heaven too. I mean to tell you, that in the summer, a frog choir in my front yard and back yard is a choir that comes straight out of heaven. You see, Carl, my son and I used to gather frogs from the creek behind the house each spring. We would take a bucket and get some frogs to debug our garden each spring. We had so many frogs that they night songs could actually put you to sleep. The bullfrogs were the best! Ohhh indeed, frogs have a beautiful tone....so Sherry, you must have a beautiful voice! Guest guest
Thank You Debby for the encouragement I loved the story about the frogs how wonderful!
