Guest guest
I have GSE but I use it only in my homemade housecleaning brew. All of them work together. The other thing to consider is that coconut oil is killing off high numbers of yeast and that could cause the runs too. Yep. That's the way I looked at it. I backed off the coconut oil just a little bit but not entirely, because I assumed there was something in my gut that needed to be purged, and the coconut oil likely helped. Guest guest
Jerry, I just did a search for the GSE and found a 2 oz. bottle for $6.47. Do they sell a larger size? How long does 2 oz. last? Gail in MS ----- Original Message ----- From: jertoons -- I like The Vitamin Shoppe.com brand). It's just grapefruit seed extract. I sprout with it, use it in a spray bottle after cleaning the sink, put a few drops in the smoothies if raw foods are in it -- and I now soak ALL my salad greens in it for a while. I've had it a number of weeks and there's more than half left in the bottle. I think the Liquid God Brand is a little stronger. But all of them MUST be used in a very diluted form. (A few drops in water, some brands up to 10 or 15 drops.) Liquid Goldcomes with a few sheets with the 200 uses when you order online. The " Nutribiotic " is the most popular, it seems. Their red and white bottle is the one I've seen in stores since I became aware of this. They do have a large size bottle at The Vitamin Shoppe (see link below to view), which should last forever, lol. That's a big chain, but a very nice store, very much nicer than other chains, at least the one near here is. Very glassy and the choices of what to stock in which brands are very good. From my 15 years reading on diet etc., I agree with most of their decisions about what to make available. The 32 oz. bottle of Nutribiotic Grapefruit Seed Extract is in about the middle of this page, click to view -- they have it at 25% off right now online : http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/search/en/query.jsp? q=grapefruit+seed+extract+liquid & intsource=main Jerry

I dont know if there's any truth to that but there have > been studies done. > Peg I heard that rumor, too. I liked this site because it tells SOME of the real studies. Here's the URL for it and also the list that they show at the bottom of it of places that really did study it (not the pesticides, lol). I guess people are afraid that SEED extract has the remnants of the skins (which are otherwise un-useable but possibley included in GSE, in other words, " recycled " to stretch the dollar). The other side of that reasoning is that the process require such a high heat/pressure that MOST ALL the compounds in the grapefruit are destroyed and changed. For example, the naringin present (which conflicts with some medications, making them absorb too fast and better -- in effect changing the actual dose amounts that patients are taking) IS NO LONGER there ( 0.1 % remains only) once the process of making GSE is finished. Anyway, here's the URL and the list from it that tells who did study GSE : http://air-water-nutrition- healthsmart.com/open/product_info/grapefruit_seed_extract.htm HAS GSE BEEN TESTED ? YES. Guest guest
Thank you for posting the article. If it does work keeping mold of sprouts, there's still probably little danger. As a matter of fact, it works for that even if you soak for a few minutes (at any time during the sprouting process) and then rinse good with water. There's hardly any left to consume once you rinse. Then, too, some of the major brands are available in nearly every health store. With the internet going strong, I'd imagine there's plenty of opportunity for checking out GSE by many people. Of course, greased-out fast food french fries are commonly available, too, and they're not the healthiest product you could consume. Guest guest
If you have candida, you should not be drinking juice of any kind at all. Juice is full of sugar and fungus and will stop you getting better. Guest guest
> > Why is this not one of the endorsed antifungals? ==>The reasons are many. The antifungals recommended: 1) have longer histories of success and have been around longer (grapefuit seed is fairly new on the market by comparison); 2) have more research done on them; 3) are the least processed (squeezing a hard grapefruit seed to extract anything is hard to do), etc. And from my experience with hundreds of candida sufferers most do better on the antifungals recommended. Guest guest
I don't know about killing good bacteria, but I've been taking it almost every day for 5 mo now and it has never made my oral thrush worse. Guest guest
Hi Kari... that's great news! If you don't mind, I have about 3 questions: 1. What's the brand name of the GSE you are using? 2. Have you had any herxing from the candida die-off? 3. Did you start at a lower dose and work up? bw Joanna > > For about three weeks now, I've been taking about 45 drops of > Grapefruit Seed Extract (15 drops spaced out through the day; in a > shot glass with grapefruit juice - goes down great!) and my spit test > has cleared up and the " dribbles of candida " has almost completely > gone away. Guest guest
It's Nutribiotic. I had little bit of die off issues - and the stuff tastes bitter - then I came up with the shot glass. I did start off with about 5-8 drops, 3x a day in regular water or about 2 oz. of grapefruit juice, but I thought I might be drinking too much juice (I never drink the stuff!) I was seeing signs of dieoff in the bathroom and was really happy (can we really be " happy " about poop?) I had a really bad rash come up on my neck about three months ago and keeps coming back along with the nodules developing on my head. You can put the GSE directly on the bumps (diluted) and it did dry up and went away sooner. The other rash hasn't completely gone away yet, but I'm hoping within a couple of months - totally gone. The two dermatologists I went to (after I cried to the receptionist about walking around with a distinct " creepy crud " on my entire neck) had no idea how it came about and the one had never seen anything like it before (I told him to take pictures, post it on the internet, and see what kind of response he got - didn't think it was funny) that's when I started doing the research on the skin conditions. My accupuncturist thought it was " wet " and it was either mold or yeast related but I've got to be careful with the herbal remedies (I have trouble swallowing pills and keeping them down). I was really optimistic when I found out about the liquid GSE. It does seem to be working for me when a lot of other stuff hadn't. > > > > For about three weeks now, I've been taking about 45 drops of > > Grapefruit Seed Extract (15 drops spaced out through the day; in a > > shot glass with grapefruit juice - goes down great!) and my spit > test > > has cleared up and the " dribbles of candida " has almost completely > > gone away. I just started this along with about 7 other supplements from the DR. Is there anyway we can read up more on them? > > ~~ +++Hi . The previous message describing grapefuit seed extract is all the information you need. Doctors aren't the best people to perscribe antifungals nor supplements, since they only get about 5-8 hours training in nutrition, and they think you can cure candida by killing it off. They often perscribe supplements not needed, particularly on this program. What supplements did your doctor perscribe? Bee
