Can Lyme cause heavy night sweats?

Hi there,

Lyme can cause all kinds of weird things, including weakening the body, so

hormone levels drop and sweats/flash-type things can occur. I'm going to

include info I just wrote to someone else who's having sweats.... good luck!

" I had this exact issue (not menopause or other hormonal wackiness) and it was

babesia related. On advice of someone who has worked with Dr. Zhang, I got his

Artemesia 2 and take it according to a Klinghart protocol ... it's 2x the

strength of normal artemesia and I take 2 tablets, once a week and almost all

the sweats are gone. I haven't soaked the bed in months!!! It can't hurt to

try it (and I was skeptical too, that something I took 1x/week would work - it

was a very nice surprise!) and you'll know in a few weeks time. "

Take care, Cindi

I know they can be caused by Babesia, but can Lyme (without Babesia) cause

them as well?

I had severe night sweats for years and it was a result of parasites (kinda

gross, I know). As soon as I was able to rid them, the night sweats (and

accompanied insomnia) went away. Have you been checked for parasites?

judy,

from what i know the night sweats can be a sign of babesia, which is a

coinfection that a tick can transmit in addition to lyme.

Thanks for this feedback. I have visited with Dr. Zhang, who recommended one of

his capsules 3X per day (which seems huge). The information on Dr. Klinghart's

protocol is very helpful. My night sweats lasted for 2 years about 5 years ago

(soaking through 3 t-shirts a night) and were not menopause related, but then

mysteriously stopped and have never returned. So I'm not sure if it's actually

Babesia that went dormant or my body stopped fighting or if this was caused by

Lyme. But, you're right, it can't hurt to try and maybe I'll notice an

improvement in health.

Do you find any side effects from the Artemesia?
