Guest guest
Just a note on iron supplementation: in women who are no longer menstruating (not saying that's you, Shirley), it can build up in the system and create oxidation. Literally: you rust inside. If you're not losing it every month, it has nowhere to go, and just stays in the system. Personally, I wouldn't do iron supplements without the backup of an MD or ND who's familiar with that. Guest guest
My sister had Chronic Lyme for almost 35 years and also dealt with this issue. We went to a hematologist and she had weekly INR and monthly H & H ~ if her rbc's were below a certain level, she was given an injection of Proctrit. This helps increase rbc count in chemo patients and the hemo thought it would be good for my sister. It helped my sister. Sandy T Ohio [ ] Low iron, anemia, & extreme fatigue I am in my third month of a prescription medication for iron " Ferrex 150 Forte Plus Capsule. " 1 x daily Last month's blood test showed my hemoglobin red cells had even gone down a little. Any suggestions? Also, regarding eye problems as described. I had those, and was examined by an opthamologist. He put me on an o/c eye vitamin. I take Occuvite. It may have helped some. Then a portion of my eye became so blurred that I couldn't see.
