I have experienced black floaties here and there, when I went to the eye doctor they said it can be caused by stress or that it can be a retna tear. He did some testing and determined that it was a small hole in my retna and we had to keep an eye on it. Since then I have had laser vision correction and have not experienced the flashing lights. I still get the black floaties when I am under stress. You may want to go see an eye doctor to make sure its nothing serious........ amtl1110 <amtl1110@...> wrote: Has anyone else experienced episodes of vision problems? I experienced flashing lights and "floaties" even when my eye was closed. It lasted about 15-20 minutes and has now subsided. I don't wear glasses and I'm pre-revision surgery. I have stenosis, but will not know the extent until I have my myleogram on Thursday.

I don't know anything about this at all, but If it were me, I'd think the eye problem had nothing to do with my back and I'd call my eye doc immediatley. Good luck.

Has anyone else experienced episodes of vision problems? I just went out to lunch, got a shooting pain in the back of my left hip (nothing new) and when I sat down at my desk my left eye started feeling strange. ,

Thanks so much for your reply. My guess is that it is stress. I

had an episode a few months ago accompanied with facial numbness

(before my back flared up) and I had a cat scan of my head and an

eye exam. Nothing terrible found. They attributed it to a sinus

infection. I was curious if it could be related to stenosis and

nerve issues. You never know.... I'll mention it to the doctor

when I have my myleogram on Thursday. Thanks again.

Anne Marie,

I also had the numbness on the left side of my face.

They thought it was a sinus infection too. But many

months later we determined it is all a part of the neuropathy

cycle I have had since 2 months post op.

Thanks to all for the replies, I appreciate it. I'm having the CT

myleogram tomorrow, so I'll post afterwards. I'm hoping it will be

smooth sailing...

Is anyone else having serious bouts with loss of vision? At first I was just

super-sensitive to light, then motion-tracking, now at times barely squinting;

also have to shut my eyes to talk sometimes or cover my ears to see; cannot

handle more than one " sense " at a time...weird, i know.

Yup! I can't handle a lot of commotion, or noises I get overstimulated REAllY

easy, my all of my senses are like that, my vision is really weird, one day it

will be really blurry, the next I will see spots, the next I will see white

sparklies, and the next it is perfectly fine! Lymes causes all of it, and it

sucks!

Good luck

> Hi Bee, I have been on the diet since March of 2009. I have slipped up a bit

and craved cake. I stayed on the diet but add bakery. I am on track again.

My question is that I have alway had near sighted vision since first grade, and

it progressivily gets worse every year. I have had break through bleeding which

damaged my vision in the left eye. I have floaters and the start of cateracts

starting. They are having a hard time fitting me with glasses. I see better

with contacts, but it is getting hard on my eyes. The eye doctor is considering

cateract surgury and the replacement of the lens in my eyes.

> the retina doctor said I had a small improvement in the health of my eyes but

my vision is worse. First time in my life time anyone ever said I have any

improvement.

> What can I do to improve my vision. Increase some supplements? What is your

opinion on the surgury?

+++Hi Donna,

Your vision can improve on this program since all of the nutrients work together

which helps your eyes too. Since you've had eye problems for some time your

eyes may be worse before they get better, and while you are healing your body

will " retrace " all past eye problems and ups and downs.

Ensure you are taking the correct amount of cod liver oil (omega 3, and vitamins

A & D) and vitamin E, which are important for eye health. You could also eat

good red meat liver at least once a week which helps your eyes too.

I don't agree with surgery but that is something I wouldn't be able to advise

you on. I'm not a doctor and I don't know how badly your eyes have

deteriorated, whether it was caused by your parents poor nutritional status,

etc. and natural healing takes a lot of time and persistence on the program.
