Hi,

I posted this same message on California Lyme, so you can ignore it here if

you've already read it there!

I applied for SSDI and I have a good lawyer who is helping me. He told me that

since I went to an Interfaith seminary program from 2007-2009, that could affect

my case negatively (shows I could read and write, although what I was reading

and writing was done on my own time when I could and sometimes my assignments

were late--and more than once I thought I might not be able to finish the

program). Also, I was doing the program as a distance learner, because it was in

a different state and I listened to the podcasts on my own time.

Anyway, my psychiatrist who monitors my depression meds told me that she has it

in my records that I went to school (at the same time I was on state disability)

and also that I'm looking for work as a minister (which is not true and I have

no idea why she wrote that!). I haven't been able to do anything regularly due

to the Lyme disease and wouldn't be able to show up for a regular job. I even

decided not to take the volunteer training program at our local hospital,

because I didn't think I could show up for a regular shift. But her records are

now going to throw a wrench into the works.

I had doubts about even providing her name on my application form, because she

didn't treat me for Lyme. She just treated me for depression. But my lawyer

thought I should include her, so I did.

Do any of you have experience with this sort of thing and can offer some

information? I don't think my husband's salary can support us both and I'm in no

shape to take a job.

Thanks and may we all feel better sometime.

Janet
