Insurance will not approve treatment

As of 1-1-10 my employer switched to BC BS. They will not approve my continued

IV therapy. I was assigned to a " case manager " and she is an RN. This case

manager stated she would approve my therapy with my medical history and Dr's

treatment notes. Her MD sup denied the approval. I spoke with her(case manager )

today when she immediatly transfered me to some appeal team with another RN who

smugly told me that she has never seen an appeal for " lymes " over turned,and

that I should contact my DR and have literature,journal studies..etc faxed to BC

to prove to them that after 28 days IV therapy is beneficial.

I called the Dr office crying and explained to them this issue..My Dr is out of

town right now and the office manager is going to consult the PA and see what

can be done.

Does anyone or has anyone had this happen and what do I do from her. My brain

isnt working well today and I am lost.
