Re: Zithromax and Plaquenil

For those of you on Zithromax and Plaquenil, how much of each drug do you

take? Also, is the dose of a drug dependent at all upon one's body weight?

I weigh 95 pounds and am on 250 mg of Zithromax twice per day and 200 mg

Plaquenil twice per day. I have not herxed at all and bumped up my

Zithromax dose tonight to 500 mg, as per Dr. C's written directions. I'm

not herxing but my gut is upset, which is typical for me when I take a drug

that is too strong for me. Dr. C's office said some people don't herx

during treatment and I'm wondering if that's not the case for me -- at least

so far. On Clindamycin and Quinine I developed a rash and Dr. C will decide

when I take them again next week if it was a drug reaction or a herx.

I'm trying to take the appropriate amount of antibiotics because I don't

want to under dose and find myself sick again if it could have been

prevented with a stronger dose.
