This is in response to Fund¢s question. , the correct spelling is

Quintessence. You forgot the t. Unlike Nutramedix, Biopure offers larger size

tincture bottles. Biopure offers two sizes: a two ounce bottle for $40 and a

four ounce bottle for $72. Biopure Quintessence is organic but not fresh.

Biopure Quintessence is 55% alcohol. Being chemically sensitive, I am alcohol

sensitive. I try to buy tinctures that have a low alcohol content.Fresh organic

tinctures are the most potent. Heron Botanicals manufacturers tinctures in

economically priced four ounce and eight ounce bottles. Most of their tinctures

are organic. Many are fresh. Some of their tinctures have lower alcohol content.

Heronbotanicals.com. They make a fresh andrographis tincture, a fresh

red root tincture, a dried stephania tincture, dried sarsaparilla (smilax

regelii) and a fresh sarsaparilla (smilax rotundifolia), dried japanese knotweed

and fresh teasel, Professional Complimentary Formulas, POB 80085, Portland, OR

97280. manufacturers an andrographic tincture that is 25% alcohol.. However, it

is neither fresh nor oganic. Eight ounce bottle is approximately

$55.Professional Complimentary Formulas manufacturers sarsaparilla (smilax

ornata) that is 25% alcohool. However, it is neither fresh nor organic. Eight

ounce bottle is $55.20. Smilax ornata is from Mexico. Gaia Herbs manufactures

smilax regelii tincture.  Biopure uses smilax glabra from China.. I heard that

smilax glabra crosses the blood brain barrier and that some of the other species

of smilax do not.

I have been unable to find out whether smilax ornata, smilax regelii or smilax

rotundifolia cross the BBB.Biopure Quintessence contains two anti microbials:

andrographis and sarsaparilla. The other three herbs are not antimicrobials.

Buhner discussed stephania and japanese knotweed in depth in Healing

Lyme. Red root treats lymph. Taking additional antimicrobials may be wise. For

example, teasel root. Teasel root (SpiroNil) fresh plant extract of certified

organic teasel. 50% alcohol from Pytotherapy Research Labs, POB 627, Lobelville,

Manufactures an organic japanese knotweed (polygonum cuspidatum) tincture. 1 oz

a related species to japanese knotweed (polygonum cuspidatum).  Energetically,

they may be similar for the following reason:  Immortality Institute - Advocacy

& Research For Unlimited Lifespans

http://www.imminst.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=16573It is spelled " Fo-Ti. " The

binomial is Polygonum multiflorum. It does not contain resveratrol, but does

contain the glycoside of a resveratrol analogue, 2,3,4',5-Tetrahydroxystilbene

which has not yet been tested for Sirtuin activation in any publication. It has

a long history of use in Chinese medicine as an anti-aging compound, but has

also been confounded with the related P. cuspidatum at different periods during

the past 1000 years. P. cuspidatum is the source of commercial resveratrol.

Fo-ti is not available as a high-pressure extract, only as cruder alcohol

extracts, in 12:1 and 4:1 liquid extracts, and as dried herb.

Based on the effects of self-experiment, I believe the 12:1 extract is a Sirtuin

agonist (signs were improved

cold tolerance and a sense of well-being.) However, it is more expensive than a

similarly effective resveratrol extract from Polygonum cuspidatum.  are you

aware of more supplements that possible activate Sirt1?

this and it reminds me of depreny...

seems to boost SOD which is great. Professional Complimentary Formulas polygonum
