Guest guest
Hi to everyone, my name is . I was diagnosed with Mono when I was 15 and never really recovered. I am 52 now and had up until recently a number of symptoms associated CFS as well as Candida, Athlete's Foot and Herpes. Four months ago I was introduced to olive leaf extract by a friend. I am pleased to report to all of you that I now feel great and my energy levels are unbelievably high. I took six capsules a day and will probably continue taking six capsules a day for another six months before I reduce it to two capsules a day. All of the problems I used to have are gone and I have not seen any sign of my Herpes. This product is a broad spectrum antibiotic killing pathogenic bacteria, viruses, yeast, mold, fungi and parasites. As far as I am concerned, it really works. Guest guest
Carolyn, I get the olive leaf extract from www.otrecure.com It is in capsule form, I take four to six pills a day, and have been doing so for four months. Depending on your state of ill health, should determine your dosage. The manufacturer recommends 1-2 pills a day for general good health maintenance and six pills a day for cases of ill health. They also say that this dosage may be increased depending on the state of ill health without any side effects. If you go to the Otrecure site you will find lots of information. If you order any product be sure to get the book by Dr. Morton . Hope this answers your questions. Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am looking for input. My 22-year old son has just had a very serious case of bacterial pneumonia. He was in the hospital for 4 days on IV, oxygen, and IV antibiotics. The radiologist said it was the worse case of pneumonia she had ever seen in someone still walking and talking. He had 2 different bacteria in his lung and it was the primary infection (he had been in Mexico a week before, so he may have been exposed there???) He has been home 12 days now and he is so weak and tired that he still hasn't gone back to school. He has also lost 25 lbs. in the 3 weeks (he was home a week before it was diagnosed, then in the hospital, and then home over a week). Prior to this he was a finely tuned athlete, working out everyday, playing basketball and university football, and rugby. I am wondering what I can give him (force him to take?) to help build him back up. He is an O but will have nothing to do with the diet, but because I do the cooking he usually eats what I give him. Would Olive Leaf be a good thing? or anything else? I know that I need to counteract the damage the antibiotics have done (but I don't think he would be here without them), but I am not sure what to give him? Thanks for any input, Sharon
Guest guest
Hi Sharon, Sorry to hear about your son! For replacing the good bacteria that the antibiotics killed, I recommend the probiotics for blood type O. You can purchase them at dadamo.com. Since you're the cook, I would suggest you incorporate as much highly beneficial foods into your son's diet as possible as they are like medicine to his body. Pineapple juice instead of soft drinks, etc., should give him a boost also. Good luck, Louise ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

I will try the pineapple juice. I drink it all the time, but he lives on apple juice (an avoid for O's, but as I said he doesn't have any interest in the diet). He never drinks soft drinks - he is a bit of a health nut, but still won't pay attention to what I say about the O diet. Guest guest
Sharon, Give your son Colloidal silver. It fights and kills every bad bacteria, virus and fungus in the body. It has been claimed to kill HIV virus and herpes. Don't know about that, but I do know that my six children take it and have never been sick. Even when a runny nose starts, I put some up their nose. I have enclosed the website as it is very beneficial to get the facts. Hope your son recovers soon. Guest guest
Sharon, My son had extremely bad allergies, and asthma as well as severe ADHD (He was 2 when diagnosed) he was admitted to the hospital with cerebral meningitis at age 3 and the doctors looked at him in the hospital and told me there was nothing more they could do for him. He was immune to every antibiotic they gave him. They had him so drugged on steroids and antibiotics and all kinds of stuff. His little lips had no color and he was, in my opinion, dying. I called a health food store and told them what was going on and they mentioned the silver. I asked if it would react to the other things he was taking and they assured me it wold not harm him, even if he drank the whole bottle. I bought some and without letting the doctors know....as they scoffed at the idea of any homeopathic path.....I started giving him swigs of the silver everytime he wanted a drink. It looks, smells, and tastes just like water. Within 6 hours, he was sitting up. He did throw up once, but I swear it was to get the junk out of his little gut. The doctors of course took the credit and called it a miracle. Once I knew he was A-OK I told them what I gave him, and they again scoffed and said it was pure luck that I gave him that as he was starting to get better. So, I have seen the healing powers it has......just for your info. Your son will never even know you are giving it to him. Just put it in a glass with some ice and let him think it is water. I wouldn't recommend giving him the whole bottle like I did, but perhaps little bits at a time. I was desperate and knew he was going to die and needed to do something extreme. He to this day (he is 14 and now is athletic....playing football, skate boarding, surfing, rollerblading, cycling, anything that keeps his hyper body going) asks for the silver everyday. I truly believe it is a natural healer. Guest guest
Once you get rid of the viruses and bacteria's...usually after daily doses of 1 tbsp. a day....then you should take one maintenance dose a week (1 tbsp.) they have sites where you can but the machine to make your own. It costs about what two bottles of the stuff costs from the health food store. So it is a very wise purchase. It is a mineral that bacteria and viruses as well as fungi are destroyed by. I have listed two more sites on the silver for youto review. Guest guest
Sharon, Besides Olive Leaf, I would recommend Cat's Claw, a natural antibiotic, and an anti-inflammatory. I would also consider trying cayenne capsules. I have used this for myself during real bad colds, and it really helps. I hope your son gets better soon. What did he do when he was in Mexico? Drink the water?? Kathleen

I take cayenne pepper pills all the time to lower cholesterol and I find that they have helped my stomach greatly. I never thought of them for him. In Mexico he partyed, he was on spring break. He said that they only drank bottled water and ice cubes that had a hole in them which signified that they were made from okay water. I think he may have gotten it out of the swimming pool or maybe the ocean, although he said they didn't swim in the ocean only went jet skiing once in the ocean. He may have got it in the plane or here at home, who knows??? Thanks for your concern, he is feeling a lot better. He went to visit some friends tonight to watch basketball. It is the first time he has been out in 4 weeks by himself. I know he is getting better because he is bored and said that he needs human contact and parents don't count. We've slowly increased the dosage to 1000 mg of Oleuropein (the active ingrediant: take your % x mg of Olive leaf to get the true mg) By slowly, I mean, that we had a herxheimer reaction from it at low dosages, as that decreased, we increased the dosage. We usually take it just before bedtime because the herx. is just right to put us to sleep.... (sleep is one of our herx symptoms).... Guest guest
Hi Barb, My husband, Ken just posted on this, saying how we are using it and that we herx from it. We also have the book " Olive Leaf " by Dr. Morton . He is a medical journalist. The book is paperback, about $5.00 US and available on Amazon, and probably everywhere else. There is a table in the book that lists several infectious diseases " for which Olive leaf extract acts as an anitmicrobial agent " . Among them are: Chlamydia Epstein Barr Virus Mycoplasma Pneumonia Shingles The reference for it is given as - De Whalley, C.V.; Rankin, S.M.; Hoult, J.R.S.; Jessup,W.; Leake, D.S. Guest guest
Below is a post I forwarded from another group. Since comments have been made about the big expensive brands of herbs it is nice to know that the lower costs brands work good too, if they work for you. This is on Olive Leaf extract. She has been posting everyday on the way this herb changed the way she feels. -Liz D- Hi All, Just wanted to share on the olive leaf again. In case you have not tried it and think you are dealing with any kind of cootie like candida or bacteria, etc. I am loving this stuff. It is so hard to explain, but I have chatted with another person on it and she has said many of the same things that I have noticed. Okay, one thing is that it seems to be toning my bowel. It just feels more youthful. And my digestion, in general, from the top down seems better. My skin looks better and I just have this feeling that I am doing something really good for myself. I am still taking the low potency 6% NOW Foods brand, but have worked up to two without any serious die off symptoms like I had before. I even took four in one day and did fine. One wonderful benefit I have noticed is that it seems to have reduced my appetite in a really healthy way and I have lost two pounds effortlessly in the last two weeks. I find myself going long hours without eating or even thinking of eating. Prior to this I had to eat every few hours and it was not a hypoglycemia type thing, it was more like a malnourishment type feeling. Now I am just guessing, but this is what it feels like it is doing. It feels like it has killed some stuff that was living off my food and now I am getting the benefits instead of the critters and so my food takes me farther. And I find that I desire fresher stuff. Like my appetite is true to my body instead of being true to the various critters, like yeast, that were wanting what they wanted. I always try to eat healthy, but I don't always feel like eating healthy, and now I find that I am really desiring things the right things, not just eating them by my will. I just have such a positive feeling about olive leaf extract. And I am very thankful for it. Those of you who have been here a long time know that I have had an inner aversion for colloidal silver and a few other things like that, that seem to do such wonderful things for others. And so I was a little frustrated and it is nice to find something that is doing the same job for me without any inner aversion. I feel very hopeful about the possible long term healing this is going to help my body achieve. Yay Donna --- rabbitbrain@... --- EarthLink: It's your Internet. Guest guest
May I join in on your moaning ? It hasn't helped mine either. Olive leaf is good for attacking bacteria and viruses as well. I am glad it killed off something in you body anyway. I know the disappointment of not getting a good " kill " effect on the candida. You have been taking the colomas, right? How have they been working for you? I have another question but will wait for your reply. LIZ D Re: FW: Olive leaf I know I am going to sound like a kill-joy - but I have spent over $300 on Olive leaf in the last few months (the expensive one that all the trials with candida have been done on, and NOTHING! It has not done anything to change my symptoms...boo, hoo! On the other hand - I think it has kept me flu free and cold free over Winter.... I am sorry for sounding so negative - I just cannot find anything that works for me... I am SICK of spending money on things that don't work. but the other option is roll over and die! And that I will NOT do! I have even gone off the diet and I am itching more than ever - but I am sick of starving and seeing no results - apart from less itching..... Thanks for letting me moan... --- rabbitbrain@... --- EarthLink: It's your Internet.
Guest guest
Hi Liz, Nick, , May I ask which brand of OLE that you were using? Wondering if some brands are more potent than others of if it is just an individual thing ... Dave ----------------- Date: Wed, 22 Aug 2001 19:13:29 -0400 From: Rabbitbrain@... Guest guest
Has anyone had an adverse reaction to olive leaf extract....Im using Ameridan's (think thats the name) the whites of my eyes are somewhat bloodshot, yesterday I had a crack show up on my lip and the two days before that, something like a tiny crack inside edge of each nostril, one each day..... I don't know if it is related, but the olive leaf is the only thing new and different....been taking it about 1.5 weeks. ??? am not taking flax oil (having had similar capillary reaction in my eyes when I upped the amount of flax oil) ???? confused. Guest guest
Jaen; It certainly sounds like an allergy reaction to flax seed. I would suggest that you quit taking it for a few days and see what happens. If you start healing then chances are pretty good you need to avoid anything related to flax seed. There are plenty of other oils from which to get your needed essential fatty acids. Guest guest
Hemp seed is high in omega 3's and there is a very good product called " Nutiva. " It is shelled hemp seeds that you can sprinkle on salads or eat by the handful. It has 66% daily value of vitamin E and is extremely high in protein and omega 3's. My Naturopathic Doctor recommended it for my daughter who is gluten/wheat intolerant. We all like it. My husband eats it by the handful! Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, I have to agree, I think that Hemp oil is the very best product on the market bar none, that is still legal. Probably Hemp weed is the only herb in nature capable of expelling the large tape snakes. This is the real reason it is against the law, because the snake in the gut is the means of the livlihood of the doctors, who are kept ignorant of the facts. The large snakes consticting the flow of blood, cause the many bowel cancers which arise from the lack of energy, life, that the blood would bring to the cells, in abundance if allow to flow to the tissues and cells.
