Guest guest
Sorry everyone for the double post. Realized after sending the first email that I really should change the subject line. Sidney, Thank you for the info. I may try this in a coupe weeks after I'm done with college finals. I hate to have a bad herx right now. I " m also very overwhelmed right now to start one more thing at the moment. Just the fact that I saw your email is a feat for me now adays. LOL I'm currently on IV Cef for the past 5 months and a couple days ago started Zithromax. I wish I could have taken the two together for the past 5 months but that didn't happen. The IV doesn't seem to be doing much but I'm going to keep it going for one more month. I'm hoping the two meds together will do something. One more question...I looked up the L-Glutamine and saw it comes in 200 mg for the powder form, I believe. What dosage bottle do you get? I did look in one of our stores for it but it only came in pill form. Do you recommend the pill form also? Oops, guess thats 2 questions. thanks again Jaye sgil749989@... wrote: Hello Jaye, yes by taking L-Glutamine you can kill Lyme bacteria, and I believe the ones that are hideing in the cell membrains where regular abx medicine can not reach them. Be cautious, however, as a terrible HERX can occur so start taking 1/2 teaspone and gradually increase it if you are able to withstand the killing off of the bacteria. The bacteria will be killed all over your body so it can be quite uncomfortable. I had a great amount in my feet so I had to run hot water on my feet to kill off more bacteria as it came close to the surface to try to avoid the L-Glutamine. I read about this treatment in a book by Knoll about 5 years ago. I tried it then but would start to pass out from the Herx effect and quit. I only started again in October late and am working with it now, I told my Lyme LLMD about it and she apparantly knew something about it, but is strictly a main stream medical person. She told me it could cause neurological reactions and I believe it may have started after I had been taking it for about one month. I have since stopped for a day or so to see if I can tolorate it enough to cure myself of Lyme. Good luck! Oops, guess Hello Jaye, I have only used the powder form, remember I advised about starting out slow with only 1/2 spoon full and working up to more if you can stand it (the HERX I mean), I see that the L-glutamine I first used from Swanson Vitamins was listed as 340 grams while the next batch I purchased from GNC vitamins claims to be 5 grams, i confess that I have been taking massive amounts of vitamins and minerals since I was infected in 1994, diagnosed with Lyme in 2001. I take the L-Glutamine with Knox NutraJoint with glucosamine which is a killer fo sorts for Lyme bacteria. It will drive the Ketes from the joints and permit normal joint activity. If you do not have joint problems you may not need this product. I have been using the Knox for several years when a joint problem develoved because of Lyme, it works wonderfullly for me. I have been on the L-Glutamine since October 10 with about 4 days off. I am beginning to have less of a Herx from the killing off of the bacteria so perhaps there is less and less in my body. It will not be a picnic for you as you will experience burning and itching over most of your body, but since you have been on Rocephin for 5 months or more you may not get hit that hard. I am not sure whether this will cure me or not, but it is sure reducing the amount of bacteria in my body. I plan to continue taking it for a long period of time if things continue to work OK. The longer period of time may insure that all bacteria will be killed. As I always say good luck with your efforts. Ps I was on IV Roc ephin for 28 days when I first learned a little about Lyme. While on the IV I read 7 books and found the network--my eyes were opened. I asked my know nothing doctors to keep me on IV longer, but they said no you are cured. I knew better and went on to find a good LLMD and a good alternative health provider. I have since read a lot and learned a lot about Lyme, but only scratched the surface about Lyme. Perhaps I did not answer your question about the dosage. I believe the powder is best and you can tell how well it works by the am ount of spoonfuls you take and your own reaction, i.e.,HERX condition. The number of grams will actually depend on the amount of powder you take. **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products.
