Guest guest
Those of us who have expressed this concern in the past have been told that we are wrong-- that FDA approval would mean that LDN would be more accessible to more people. But obscene profits are not something I can countenance supporting. And I would not be able to take LDN if it were to become expensive, and by that I mean, anything over $30 a month. Compounding pharmacies and pharmacists are under attack by the drug companies because of services such as these that they provide. We should all be anxious to help support compounding pharmacies. Dr Skip himself gave another example like this about a year ago, on a generic drug that had been $30/month and went up to $4000/month. In addition, drug companies have been being granted patents on vitamins that are found in our food supply, resulting in a ruling under which those vitamin forms can no longer be sold as nutritional supplements without a prescription, and that is something that is found in our food, naturally. Our right to this medicine is being attacked on all sides. -- At 07:39 PM 3/9/2011, gash_ok wrote: >I've often wondered what would happen if LDN ever got FDA approval, and >today I think it is now clear: the cost of LDN would probably skyrocket. >Here's an example >(http://www.latimes.com/health/boostershots/la-heb-premature-drug-03092011,0,48\ 47507.story): > >----- >Since 2003, the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has >recommended that doctors offer the progesterone shots to high-risk women. >But because there has not been a commercial product available, women have >obtained the drug from so-called compounding pharmacies, which make it to >order.
