Only three of the doctor's attending a key meeting in Berlin on whether to start the swine flu jab programme in the capital said they would take the jab. The doctors expressed concerns over the safety record of the " swine flu " jab with adjuvants, the lack of clinical data, especially on pregnant women and children " , and also criticized the " rush " to mass vaccinate people as well as the poor renumeration. In addition, they brought up claims that the country's government vaccine committee was in the pocket of the pharmaceutical industry. This is a report in one of the country's leading medical newspapers, Die Ärztezeitung. nancie barnett wrote: > I am interested where you read that info. Guest guest
Awesome! I think your body makes like 50,000 IU (and more) if you get the right amount of sun, so I can't see that it would hurt! I know Mercola says to take 50,000IU for several days to get rid of f fever blisters, colds, etc. I think it's the missing link for a lot of things. It's only ONE part, but it's a huge part! Guest guest
There is no way I will experiment with a new vaccine! I've heard of severe reactions to it. We already have had H1N1 and are all fine..........Thank God!!!!!!!!!! With me being pregnant and my son having asthma the horror stories were scary. We got through it and now have natural immunity whew! Also everyone I know has gotten through it with moderate to light problems. I say we should get our immune systems optimum and let our bodies fight this naturally! Guest guest
Chances are they will check and see if he has Influenza A and if he does they will assume its H1N1. As far as being immune and also getting vaccinated I'm not sure he will have any more risks than there already are with the flu vaccine. Guest guest
First of all you need to be tested to see if you need extra D3. If you do, then you could probably start with 1000 IUs. It's cheap, I get it at Vitacost. That's how I started. Then you could be tested again in a couple of months and see if you need more. I would suspect the concern is more for those who have weakened auto-immune systems. AFAIK the auto-immune system of a Hashi's patient is functioning normally except for the target of its action. Those with none functioning auto-immune systems or those weakened such as organ transplant patients are probably of more concern. Guest guest
I usually buy it at vitacost.com and get the vitacost NSI brand. They have capsules and softgels and I get the softgels as it is more likely to be well absorbed. I also buy the 4000 IU and take three a day to get 12,000 IU of D3 and there is another 1000 IU in my life extension vitamin mix. This option provides 300 softgels with 4000 IU/D3 for $17. http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-Vitamin-D3-4000-IU-300-Softgels Steve Crystal wrote: > Where do you get your vit d? > CW > > -- Re: Re: H1N1 > > > > wrote: >> I would disagree! Guest guest
40,000 IU of D3 is 1 mg of D3. So, if I'm doing the math in my head right, 200,000,000 IU of D3 is 5000 mg of D3. wrote: > I take 5000 IU. I think sometimes it's listed as mg? I don't know. I just > use IU's. Guest guest
1.25 mg of D3 is 50,000 IU of D3. Guest guest
Usually a prescription is D2, not D3. D2 is nowhere as effective as D3 and I don't think it has identical benefits to taking D3. Guest guest
The RDA is WAY WAY WAY low. Many doctors will not recommend more than the RDA. The best way to check is to get a the right blood vitamin D test and then modify your supplementation to bring your readings up to the 50-80 ng/ml range and I'm shooting for at least 80. The lab reference range in the USA is 32-100 ng/ml. I just read a report on a study that in a Persian gulf countries, 60 percent of the population, men and women, are vitamin D deficient and that is with a boat load of sunlight. With optimum being 50+ and 32 being the lab low, those that are likely not considered deficient are probably mostly below 50 ng/ml. My blood levels were almost identical summer and winter and that included about 6 weeks of regular work in the garden and putting in landscaping out in the midday sun before testing my summer blood D levels. Guest guest
I go in tomorrow and he always checks so we will see. I was just wondering if the normal ranges the docs use are different than what other practitioners suggest kinda like TSH. CW -- Re: H1N1 My somewhat uneducated guess is that Hashi's is not the type of auto-immune condition to which the concerns are directed. I would suspect the concern is more for those who have weakened auto-immune systems. AFAIK the auto-immune system of a Hashi's patient is functioning normally except for the target of its action. Guest guest
So you take 13,000 IU's of vit D a day x 7 days is over 90,000 IU. So you are taking way more than me. Maybe I should increase?.... CW -- Re: Re: H1N1 1.25 mg of D3 is 50,000 IU of D3. Steve Crystal wrote: > So if I take 400 IU's a day and 1.25 MG a week how much more do I need to > be optimum?
