Guest guest
For Shingles, or any other herpes viruses, I recommend reading this free online (short) book called: " Treating Herpes Naturally with Larrea Tridentata " by W. Dennis , Ph.D. http://www.awakening-healing.com/Books/TreatingHerpesNaturally.pdf This ASU professor and researcher puts out a good argument why this desert herb is much more effective than prescription anti-virals. It's supposed to stop the virus from replicating. For me, Famvir and Valtrex did nothing, and taking this herb daily, or even every other day eventually, has prevented any viral outbreaks since August, 2009. LDN might be effective as well in the long run, but keep in mind that it might stir up viral activity in the beginning - like it does with candida, while making initial adjustments to the immune system. These sites have short pages about the benefits of LarreaRx, as well as being places to order. http://www.taoofherbs.com/products/518/ViroxLarreaRx/LarreaRxVirox.htm http://reallywell.com/larrea.htm Karyn > > Yes, my husband had shingles and when we spoke to the Doctor, she said that there was no other real " treatment " for the shingles and that the LDN could not hurt. In fact, we believe that it shortened his case considerably and that is a good thing with such a frustrating and painful condition. > > Yes, try the LDN. The body's own defense is the best treatment for most viruses, in my opinion. > > Francie > http://LDN-for-MS.com >

But now my bride of 53 years has shingles. Does anyone have any experience with LDN in the treatment of shingles. She has a very bad case and is taking antiviral and steroid medications which seem to be helping a little. You all have been great in helping me over the past 3 years as I took my prostate cancer into remission with LDN alone. Guest guest
I too have had repeated out breaks of the shingles. They are so painful and not sure why I would get them repeatedly. I do grow the Lemon balm and will try that too. would like to know why someone can keep getting them over and over again always in the same spot. I have not been on LDN now for a few months at doctors request. I have been having a terrible time with my complexion since off the LDN another mystery. I was taking LDN for Fibromyalgia, MPS. -- Be in God's Light and Let Peace and love surround you there!
Guest guest
I was in an intense relationship, and the damm broke, it seems so long ago, really about four years now. But about two weeks later I have this shingle appear on my temple, very near my eye. My dock sent me to a specialist. she ask me what has been so traumatic in my life. Am a bit bewildered, but tell her of the broken relationship, so she gives me this med and said a little prayer that hoped it did not get into my eye. It went away within a couple days. So anywho, it must be some traumatic incident that causes these, my first and hope my last shingle. Now fast forward to my current sweety, she is a diabetic, juvenile and gets them often, we began taking Betaine HCL about six weeks ago, with other digestive enzymes, so far she has not had one shingle, normally they appear in the small of her back. But her disposition has improved, by that I mean little things stay little things, and her reactions are appropriate to the incident, since beginning digestives enzymes. And I am doing well. But six weeks is not very long for her without shingles, so one could come at any time. I know they are damm painful, david lubbock tx. Guest guest
Can you explain what shingles are like and where they develop? I stopped the LDN for a bit to do a cleanse with bentonite clay and activated charcoal because of my eczema and years on steroids. Now, I'm getting these red bumps on my forehead, arms, belly, legs and shoulders. One of my knee had come to a head and I popped it. Should I go back on the LDN to control it or does LDN stir it up? Wow, what a mess with this and the steroid burns I'm dealing with. > > > If you suspect shingles go to the doc immediately (before 72 hours) > and they can give you a shot for them and that will take care of > it...otherwise it can be horribly painful for a long, long time. > Shingles can be deadly...not something to play around with. > > My mom was in her 80's and developed shingles (I took her to doc as > soon as I saw a few little spots and she was having shooting pains in > her head. Guest guest
Hi again Look up Herpes Zoster. That is the Shingles virus as I posted earlier. Most likely going off LDN and doing those 'cleanses' stirred up the toxins in your body so fast that they could not be excreted fast enough and hence the outbreaks. Be gentle vvith your body for less drastic results. To prevent Shingles: take 1 to 2 grams of Vitamin C and 2 grams of l-Lysine vveekly And/Or drink a couple cups of strong lemon balm tea made vvith FRESH lemon balm vveekly or use tincture made vvith fresh lemon balm.. To stop a Shingles outbreak: do the above tvvice daily and usually see results in 2 to 3 days. No need for pharmaceutical intervention. And, stay ON LDN as it modulates the immune system. mjh In a message dated 4/17/2011 9:53:14 A.M. Guest guest
I am on 5.5 MG LDN nightly. I have chronic, active Shingles and I take the full dosage of Acyclovir every single day. That's 800 mg five times every day. Prior to LDN, even that dosage would not control shingles if I didn't take m pills exactly on time and also take L-Lysine powder 1200 mg 3 x per day and stay completely out of the sun and away from Arginine. Now that I am on LDN, I can miss a single dose of Acyclovir and not get onset of Shingles. If I eat too much arginine-containing foods, go in the sun more than 4 minutes, or miss a dose of L-Lysine, I do get prodromal pain and sometimes minor shingles even with the LDN, but the LDN makes all those meds work much better than before. I was really hoping the LDN would allow me to stop taking the meds for shingles, but no such luck. Extreme stress can also bring on Shingles even when I am at my optimum with the medications. my husband had a mild heart attack last week, and I got a batch of shingles on my neck and head. ~ d >>Can I take the anti viral medication for Shingles while on LDN? Guest guest
Some say shingles only occur on one part of your body and these are intermittently scattered and don't really hurt that much. I just have a lot of insane itching, which is for sure from the steroids in my body coming out. I'm thinking it's not shingles because they don't come to a head, just red bumps. > > > > > If you suspect shingles go to the doc immediately (before 72 hours) > > and they can give you a shot for them and that will take care of > > it...otherwise it can be horribly painful for a long, long time. > > Shingles can be deadly...not something to play around with. > > > > My mom was in her 80's and developed shingles (I took her to doc as > > soon as I saw a few little spots and she was having shooting pains in > > her head. Guest guest
I was given Tagamet for Shingles in 2002... it made me VERY sick because I already had low stomach acid. >>I've been reading about Tagamet in relation to Shingles.
Guest guest
Hey Allan, thanks for the excellent report. what is nice is you show exactly how you did it. glad the shingles cleared up. The virus itself dies in 36 hours, so the aftermath of toxins is what gets removed by the electricity in the opinion of my medical advice person. I have seen this before, and using electricity you get a healing in about a week, so you are in the zone. In future, you can spike your solution with baking soda, just a pinch, and get a faster result if you want quicker relief, but what you did was just fine. CS is not strongly conductive, nor is distilled water, so a lot of your conductivity comes from skin minerals migrating into the sponges, which takes time. If you had a live virus, it would have taken more current flow to affect the virus itself, probably. This is all guesswork at this point, so just giving my thoughts on it. The lower voltage using 2 AA's would be ok on moist skin such as found on torso. In future if you find it effective keep using it as you have been, and make any ajustments like I've hinted at as needed to deal with whatever germ. Thanks, again, Allan! Will post to our shingles files. bG > > Reply to about Shingles... and B.G., I am sorry I have not had the time to post this result like you wanted. > > Here's the story: About a year and a half ago, my wife got a case of shingles... > It showed up on her right side, above her waist, below the bra line.
