Hi All,

I have a quick question.  Does anyone else have nodules in their lungs &

thyroid?

I had a ct done of my chest last year and they found one small nodule in my

lungs.  I had a new one done last month and now I have a 2nd small nodule and

the 1st one grew.  They are both still small.  My LLMD wants to keep an eye on

them and do a new scan in 3 months.  Has anyone had any experience with lung or

thyroid nodules?  If so, can you share your experience(s)?

Thanks so much---I love this group.  Everyone has been so helpful and

knowledgeable and it makes lyme easier to understand and maneuver!!!  It's

really nice to know I am not alone.

Sincerely,

 Ann

Hi Ann,

My daughter has nodules that grow on her finger joints, heal, shins, all kinds

of places - before we knew anything about lyme her doctor use to take them out -

now we do not because they can grow back in 80% of time and also if they don't

bother you too much they will go away on there own.  BUT these might be

different kind of nodules................not sure if she has them anywhere else

as they have not done a scan on her...............I do know that they have gone

away that we know of over the last 8 months I feel due to treatment with abx -

as she had them for over five years and now we cant find

any.................hummmmmmmmmmm

Hope someone can help you - did you have a cat scan to find them?  FYI - my

LLMD asked me last time I was in if I had any nodules anyplace in the past - I

think he links them to bartonella??  Not sure ..........

thanks,

Diane

Hi Ann,

I just had a biopsy done of a large nodule on my thyroid. I was told I have

about 15 nodules on my thyroid. Thank goodness none of them are cancerous.

I have Bartonella and Lyme. I don't know if Bartonella causes nodules or not. My

endocrinologist tells me that thyroid nodules are pretty common.

Yes, I have the nodules all over. It is related to Bartonellq (Cat Scratch

fever) and the nodules are classic signs. This is what started me on my long

journey. I had a car accident and they wanted to do scans and x-rays because I

had trauma to the chest from the airbags. The Technician found nodules on my

thyroid and sent me for further testing. I went on a long scary journey to rule

out cancer/rule in LYme Disease after seeing many specialists. Also, I have had

these nodules all over for years and years and no doctor knew what they were. My

LLMD, however, uses the degree of swelling to know how well or poorly I am

feeling and she is spot-on!

Thank you to everyone who responded.  It really helped to ease my mind.

Also, I've heard that if Lyme does untreated it has the possibility of turning

cancerous.  Has anyone else heard this?

I wonder if it is even true?

Thanks again!!!Ann

I heard that you can get tumors anywhere in your body because of lyme - and to

try and keep watch over your body - not sure how one can do that - but yes, I

was told could turn cancerous but who really knows for sure..........anyone else

have any info on that?

Diane

My understanding is any inflamation can lead to cancer, but I'm not a doc, I

have nodules  in a few places and scarring on my lungs and a visiting Lyme

Natropathic Doc said bart and borrelia with maybe a dash of babesia. i never

realised the nodules were bart, but i showed her my " stretch marks " later and

she said " oh you even have the stripes! Rifampin (good for bart and lyme)...

but she cannot prescribe for me Oz.
