Many of my patients improve on a systemic yeast treatment such as Diflucan.

The spacey feeling may be a by product of the yeast. See silicone immune

protocol level II. Kolb.

Hi,

For those who suffer from brain fog, like me, I just wanted to offer another suggestion. I have been dealing with alot of it lately, and last night decided to take a big shot of B12 (intramuscular injection, in the buttocks). I don't eat much in the way of meat, and for almost-vegetarians like me, there is really no other good way to get B12, other than to supplement it. B12 is found primarily in meats.

What a difference that shot made! .....I feel so much better today, and I have tons more energy than I did yesterday.

It is so easy to forget about specific supplements, since there are so many that are discussed and suggested. Occasionally we need a reminder, and I sure needed that one! I'll be keeping up with the B12 injections much better in the future.

Love,

Patty

Royal had me doing the b12 shots everyday for 4 months. Then he told me to do them every three days. I called him today and he said you can do them every day it won't hurt you.

That article I just posted on the 18th, (Toxic Causes of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Part Two, Treatment Options) said this:

The “brain fog” is often helped by high dose B12 injections – I usually start with 2mgs a week for 10 weeks, adjusting the frequency according to response.

I will be doing it twice a week to see what kind of response I have.

I knew a woman in Tucson who had CFS, and she had a huge supply of B12 vials. She gave herself a shot every 3 days, and had been for quite some time. She was doing really well. I think for those who have pernicious anemia, doctors give it to them only once a month.

How long have you been doing them every 3 days?

Caren,

Are you doing subcutaneous injections, or submuscular?

How does one get the B12 that is injectable??? Must you have a

prescription? I take lortab everyday and find that when I take it is

when I have the least amount of brain fog. My rheumatologist in

California explained to me that this is related to my pain, that when

my pain is controlled my brain fog will be lessened and it is true.

The thing is I am tired of taking drugs.......I would like to get off

them, but in reality they save my life.

Thanks Sherry. I'm trying to shoot for doing a liver cleanse myself in 3 weeks. I have the book, really need to make time to read it. Doubt if I would seriously consider cleansing my daughter, but it does make me wonder. Somehow I'm thinking when it's a kid like this there wouldn't be that much of an issue. However if she has had it for over 6-7 years (she's 8) then maybe it would be enough time to build up damage.

Anyone ever heard/read of someone doing it on a child?

Date: Sun, 14 Mar 2004 11:56:28 -0800 From: "Kari Trautman" <karitrautman@...>I was wondering if those who have improved have actually felt the fog lift?Hi Kari, Yes, you might say I felt the fog lift. The brain fog was the mainsymptom of my candidiasis -- it was ruining my life because I couldn'tthink, couldn't make decisions, couldn't motivate myself to do things thatneeded doing. I started on the candida diet, took natural antifungals andafter a healing crisis that multiplied the brain fog till I was practicallycomatose, I felt better. But the upshot of it was that the feeling betterwasn't a constant -- sometimes I felt great, sometimes not. The antifungalsand diet didn't make the yeast go totally away, just beat it down a bit. I decided to do a liver flush after hearing so much on here how ithelped folks. After my first one about a month ago, I felt good and havecontinued to do so. I'm typing this now as I'm on my second one -- I tookthe olive oil/orange juice, lemon juice mixture last night and today I'm notgoing to stray far from the bathroom!! I'm now beginning to think -- asothers on this list are -- that the antifungals and diet are not enough, aslong as the liver remains congested. The liver is such a marvelous organ, filtering out the toxins of our less-than healthful lifestyles. It makessense that it needs to be in tiptop condition for us to get better. Here's hoping I continue to improve. And I hope you find the answersfor your poor little girl. It's bad enough when adults have to deal withthis, but it's heartbreaking when it's a child. All my best to you and her.Sherry (from Oregon)

Kari,

It is not recommended to do anything to a child under the age of 10. Especially liver cleanses. I have thought about giving one to my boys, the oldest of which is 8 and everything I have read says to wait. Not sure if it is because of the toxic overload, or just that they are growing and changing so much. I have given my boys antifungals with good success. They are not cured, but they also are not suffering any effects of the yeast.
