IF I had several bands on the Quest labs, is there a good possibility at least that there would be more? Hi ! I am just making a guess here but I would say if there were several bands with the quest labs test that there will be more than several the igeneX ....now ..I could be wrong and I hope so ...but I am thinking the opposite .....IgeneX is the TEST T O HAVE ...and if and when you need us ..we'll be here ! Do you have symptoms of lyme ? Kat

Guest guest
Igenex quotes 7-10 business days. You can actually call them and get a status update. Guest guest
So I posted earlier about my doctor not ordering the Igenex test that she said she did, I have no problem paying for it, (credit card, at this point I am willing to do anything to find out what's going on and get it fixed) But I was thinking, she gave me a month of antibiotics, she doesn't believe in chronic or late stage lyme, but doesn't matter I am seeing a LLMD next week, but I have been on antibiotics and was going to have the llmd doc do the Igenex test but now I am guessing it won't be valid since I have been taking Doxy. Hopefully he will diagnose and treat based on symptoms Bridget
Guest guest
It depends on what tests are done. I called Igenex prior to testing because I was alread on Doxy also. For the tests I had done, they said no problem. Your LLMD should know, but you can call Igenex and ask. In fact, I think lyme is often more likely to show up after starting the abx. Guest guest
Hi Bridget, From what I understand, being on antibiotics can, in 40% of the cases, increase the bacteria therefore giving you a positive Igenex result. Maybe the long term members can confirm this is true? Ann
Guest guest
Actually, some doctors give doxy before testing to provoke the immune reaction, which is more likely to result in a positive test. So don't rule it out. But you may want to just put this whole issue off until you see your LLMD. It's not that big a deal to wait. Guest guest
I read this exact thing in " Cure Unknown " last night, though it's not exclusive to Igenex. Pam Weintraub's book explained that the die-off puts higher levels in your bloodstream, causing " seroconversion " . > > Hi Bridget, > > From what I understand, being on antibiotics can, in 40% of the cases, increase the bacteria therefore giving you a positive Igenex result. > > Maybe the long term members can confirm this is true? > Ann > > > > >
