Guest guest
Margh -- I only know that FOS is some kind of a media to make all bacteria to grow faster and better (multiply). Here is an analogy with fertilizing your garden soil with a fertilizer. It makes everything to thrive not only the good bacteria. Margh there is Kefir without FOS. FOS is added to keep the bacteria alive longer because of shelf life. That is why some good probiotic products will actually say how many live bacterias in the product at the time of manufacture. Yes, it is all so complicated, isn't it. I am now worrying about MOS which supposidly keeps the Saccharomycin b. alive. Hugs -- Lida > > > > > > -- thank you for your reply and info. Guest guest
I just got a new bottle of the probiotic with the Saccharomycin b in it and see they have written Fos on it also, altho the ingrediants are all the same- what does the FOS stand for? Is this because they don't require refrigeration on this particular product? The MOS I've never heard of. Again what do the letters stand for and what's this for? Our " regular " probiotic have to be refirgerated and doesnt' list either FOS or MOS. Thanks for the answers Rose Marie > > > > > > > > -- thank you for your reply and info. Is this because they > don't require refrigeration on this particular product? > Rose Marie Rose Marie -- FOS stands for Fructo oligo saccharide, something like that. In other words some form of sugar. --Lida > > > > > > > > > > > -- thank you for your reply and info. Yes, I do > take > > Ketek > > > > > with my breakfast when I eat the goat yogurt.
