Guest guest
I have contacted the one doctor in MA that I can find that takes insurance and he has not gotten back to me. Is anyone else being treated in MA? Could you please e-mail who you are seeing? I can't get a regular doc to treat me because the stupid tests come back negative. I been sick for about 6 months now and the other docs continue to tell me I have a long running virus. My joints hurt, I have developed multiple floaters in my eyes, I have a rash that comes and goes on my back but it's not the usual ring rash... more like blotches, facial numbness that comes and goes, and the random sharp shooting/stabbing deep pains. My eyes have also become very sensitive to light.
Guest guest
It takes a very long time to get in to see the doc in Mass who takes insurance. Alternatively, you can head up to Hampton, NH and see an LLMD who will provide the papers you need to apply for reimbursement from your insurance company. He does his best to keep costs down - even frequently does pre-approvals for the meds before prescribing them. I have been very happy with him, and I haven't been put in the poor house yet. In fact, I am so much better and so much more able to work, even with the added cost of care, I have more money than I had pre-treatment. If you want his contact info, let me know. It also helps if you can find a PCP who is at least Lyme-friendly, even if not willing to treat. It took me a while to find one, but it is a relief to have my PCP and LLMD working toward the same goal. D.
