Guest guest
Hi! I need some advice, if anyone can help! I'll give a brief health history...don't know if anything is tied together or separate issues. I am 46 years old. Have been to many doctors...currently seeing alternatives. My problems began with a complete hysterctomy (9 years ago)after having had 4 c sections and massive scar tissues. I was ok for awhile (although suffered from severe insomnia)...then 4 years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's, which began a slow progression of joint swelling in my fingers which are now severely swollen (4 of them). I'm beginning to feel a systemic soreness like all over my body. I've tried HRT, Armour thyroid, but am now on natural supplements. Am healthy in most other ways, no weight problems, blood tests actually show my thyroid is fine but of course antibody levels are very high. My joints are my major concern...my fingers are in constant pain. I heard about LDN, am just finishing up my 2nd bottle with no results as of yet. How long should it take to expect results? Sleep is HORRIBLE on this...hot flashes have come back...will this bet better with time? Thanks so much for any help.
Guest guest
I have Hashimotos, having suffered with a TSH of between 10 and 11 for almost a year. That is until LDN was started, now I am in the normal range (TSH 3.46). So it worked for me. I would keep taking it. If you are just finishing your second bottle then you are just on your 20th day? (if you are taking 4.5 mg, and are mixing the tablets with distilled water). That isn't a lot of time...I would say I really saw results after being on the full 4.5 mg doses for 2 weeks, but I know a lot of folks take longer. Did they check your T3 and T4 or just TSH for your thyroid? You can appear " normal " on the TSH and still be hypo, so insist on the full range of tests. I have bad joint pain when I'm hypo, but also when I drink too much coffee. It's a family thing...my uncle and mother both have the same sensitivity. Maybe try taking a break from coffee if you drink it, maybe it would help? Niki On Tue, Apr 19, 2011 at 8:20 AM, catzulis <andzulisv@...> wrote: Hi! I need some advice, if anyone can help! Guest guest
People with Hashi's are often sensitive to gluten. If you have not changed your diet, I would recommend gluten free and possibly soy free.I would not bother with all the gluten sensitivity tests... just remove it and see if it helps. Guest guest
Find a good bio-identic hormones doctor. Your problem is probably hormonale and even the 4 c sections could be because of low thyroid. Doctors in America today diagnose only 20% of thyroid patients today. Your joints problems are probably thyroid. http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ Stop the Thyroid Madness: A Patient Revolution Against Decades of Inferior Treatment With hashimoto it is always good to go gluten free and to look at the iodine group That's right – Hashimoto's thyroiditis is often triggered by gluten sensitivity. Eliminate gluten and you eliminate many of your symptoms http://www.thecrunchypickle.com/2011/03/08/a-hashimotos-thyroiditis-breakthrough-no-gluten/ I am using the Free version of SPAMfighter.SPAMfighter has removed 3357 of my spam emails to date.Do you have a slow PC?
