Wisconsin Lyme Dr. Under Attack

Wisconsin's Lyme-literate Dr. Hoffmann is

under attack by the WI Licensing and Medical boards,

in a similar, abusive manner as other east-coast LLMDs

have endured.

Dr. Hoffmann owns a small privately run clinic in

Eagle River, WI, and is only one of a handful of

Lyme-literate physicians in Wisconsin. Dr. Hoffmann

follows the ILADS treatment guidelines and treats a

large number of Lyme patients.

The state's prosecuting attorney has made reference to

Dr. Hoffmann's treatment of Lyme patients and vague,

unsubstantiated allegations, and has a history of

removing " alternative " physicians through baseless

allegations.

Lyme patients and advocates in WI have organized a

letter-writing/email/fax/phone campaign, and have set

up a legal defense fund to help Dr. Hoffmann defray

the costs to defend himself from these baseless

claims. Due to the intense pressure placed upon him by

the prosecutor, he has been forced to hire good legal

representation and will need assistance with fees for

defense.

Dr. Hoffmann never turns patients away, and exists on

very little payment for his lifetime of service. Most

of his lyme patients make pilgrimages from surrounding

states because there are no other LLMD's available.

Dr. Hoffmann has saved many lives, and without him,

many patients will be left without an alternative, or

will have to travel far greater distances to continue

treatment. He is well-known to the community, and is

known to visit patients during his time off just to

support them.

WE MUST PUT A STOP TO THE TREND OF MEDICAL BOARDS AND

STATE LICENSING OFFICES TO TAKE OUT OUR LYME TREATING

PHYSICIANS!

We simply can not allow another LLMD to be removed

from practice for unfounded charges just because they

are willing to treat Lyme patients.
