Thanks Deb, that's good to hear! I just got my sublingual B in the mail today,

so we'll see how it goes. I'm off to West Virginia tomorrow for a week, so I

think I'll wait until I return to try the B vit... just in case it causes a

flare.

Hi Sara,

Yes, we must be seeing the same West Seattle doc (I am in Portland, OR

and there's only one LLMD that I know of for OR, WA and BC, Canada...a

sad state of affairs). Ha! I was going to copy your emails & links &

send it to him to ask about the other parts of the detox protocol, but

you've obviously already beaten me to it...good!

To be truthful, most of these biological systems explanations are very

hard for me to absorb (and I'm not a stupid person unless I'm having

brain fog). I gave up completely on understanding the Vit D/calcium

cycle because they were so interconnected and nuanced that I just

couldn't arrive at the " answer " by myself. One question I had after my

LLMD recommended the glutathione infusions and I researched them is

about the possible risks/downside of the infusions. In most metabolic

processes there are two opposite processes (I don't know the scientific

terminology for this) and it seemed from the research that taking large

amounts of glutathione could leave large amounts of " oxidized "

glutathione left in the body to do its own particular kind of damage.

Anyway, I trusted my LLMD and went ahead because I had been SO sick that

I needed to do something!

I will read all your links, but suspect I will have to trust my LLMD or

integrative physician (who doesn't know lyme but is great in other

respects) to interpret for me.

Thanks for the warning about the glutamine...I guess one key is to start

things one thing at a time in order to note reactions...I'll make a

point of trying the whey/glutamine combo separate from other treatments

so that I note any adverse reactions.

Again, thanks so much for all the great info!

Maureen
