Re: [ ] NEW! URGENT ACTION NEEDED, TIME SENSITIVE

Thank you for this information. It certainly sounds like a great action.

However, I think it would be very helpful if you could provide the Lyme

community with a copy of this letter, so we know exactly what it is that we're

asking our Representatives to sign on to.

When we ask our Reps to sign onto a bill, we are able to read the language of

the bill to understand it. The language of a bill, or in this case a letter, is

extremely important. If the Lyme community blindly asks their Representatives to

sign onto a letter without having first read it and knowing for themselves the

content thereof, it diminishes the decision-making capacity of each individual

within the community, ultimately weakening the community by increasing its

dependence upon a handful of desision-making individuals. This can create

impotency within the community through lack of exercise of individual thought

processes.

If you can, would you please be so kind as to provide us with a copy of this

most-important letter? Thank you very much.

NEW! URGENT ACTION NEEDED, TIME SENSITIVE

Update: An electronic Member Letter has been sent to all Members of the US

House of Representatives by Congressman . The letter

ultimately will be sent to Dr Gerberding, CDC Director, on behalf of all

of the

Congressmen who have signed onto it. It addresses the IDSA guidelines, their

impact, their development process, and concerns about why the CDC has these

guidelines on its website, and why other guidelines are not recognized. We

need high numbers of congressmen signed onâ " ?not a bill, so easy to sign on.

Action: All need to contact your own (1) US House Rep, DC office only (if

you already called, call again).

***Tell him/her to sign NOW onto the Member Letter on the Lyme disease

guidelines circulated by Congressman (NJ). Tell them the

guidelines hurt you, their constituents.

Your Rep can contact Tim Lynagh, Legislative Director for Representative

(NJ), at (202) 225-3765 with questions or for a copy of the Member

Letter on Lyme disease if they cannot find theirs.

I wrote.

I am wondering if they even really read all the mail themselves though.

I would also like to write and ask my Reps to support it. However, personally,

I cannot ask them to support something that I haven't read.

What I think we need to be an informed community of advocates is to read the

letter written by being circulated among the Representatives

for their signatures. If we call and write letters asking our Reps to support

this letter by signing on to it, we should have the opportunity to read the

letter for ourselves to know of its contents.

Also, I heard that is no longer in office. Can anyone from

New Jersey verify this for us and perhaps the LDA representatives working on

this issue can tell us how that affects the letter that he wrote.

-Is it still being circulated?

-Does it still have his name on it?

-And is it still valid if he is indeed no longer in office?

Thank you. Any answers to these questions would be very much appreciated.

Best Wishes,

I looked for any reference to it on some Lyme sites and on Chris

's site. I, also, did a search and I can't find it. I would like

to read it to and would like the link to it.
