URGENT ACTION NEEDED, TIME SENSITIVE Thank you for this information. It certainly sounds like a great action. However, I think it would be very helpful if you could provide the Lyme community with a copy of this letter, so we know exactly what it is that we're asking our Representatives to sign on to. When we ask our Reps to sign onto a bill, we are able to read the language of the bill to understand it. The language of a bill, or in this case a letter, is extremely important. If the Lyme community blindly asks their Representatives to sign onto a letter without having first read it and knowing for themselves the content thereof, it diminishes the decision-making capacity of each individual within the community, ultimately weakening the community by increasing its dependence upon a handful of desision-making individuals. This can create impotency within the community through lack of exercise of individual thought processes. Guest guest
I would also like to write and ask my Reps to support it. However, personally, I cannot ask them to support something that I haven't read. What I think we need to be an informed community of advocates is to read the letter written by being circulated among the Representatives for their signatures. If we call and write letters asking our Reps to support this letter by signing on to it, we should have the opportunity to read the letter for ourselves to know of its contents. Also, I heard that is no longer in office. Can anyone from New Jersey verify this for us and perhaps the LDA representatives working on this issue can tell us how that affects the letter that he wrote. -Is it still being circulated? -Does it still have his name on it? -And is it still valid if he is indeed no longer in office? Thank you. Any answers to these questions would be very much appreciated. Best Wishes, Tina J. President L.E.A.P. Arizona Lyme Education Awareness Program www.leaparizona.com P.O. Guest guest
I looked for any reference to it on some Lyme sites and on Chris 's site. I, also, did a search and I can't find it. I would like to read it to and would like the link to it. jan > > Thankyou Tina!
