Amazing Your Artist from CT

He is ONLY 8 years old!!! but his art work is already on the cover of book

two of " It's All In Your Head " - Around the World in 80 Lyme Patient Stories, by

PJ Langhoff. If you want to see an 8 year old's painting - look this book up on

Amazon and see the cover. This little boy from CT is an amazing artist. Here

is something about him from PJ's book titled " Cover Art by Mills. " (This

" About the Artist: 'Stevie' Mills is a life-long resident of West

Hartford, Connecticut. is only 8 years old, and has been painting since

the age of 4, and also suffered with Lyme disease since the same age. After

visiting the Griswald Museum during the summer of 2004, he sat down on the

museum grounds and painted his first canvas. Two hours later, he finished his

painting, arriving at a new and more advanced level of painting that surprised

those who saw his work.

Award - the youngest person in CT ever to do so. has exhibited his

paintings in a 3-generation art show at the West Hartford Library, and the

Eastfield Mall in Springfield, Massachusetts. His works have been displayed at

CRT in Hartford as part of a 2-person art show entitled 'Strokes of Genius,' and

the 'Big Time Saver' kick-off ceremony of an animated short which appeared on

Fox TV and Comcast. has been recognized on channel 30 and Fox TV news

stations for his painting skills. He will be participating in Scruples Animated

Productions and he studies with Nationally recognized artist Joe Young.

In 2006, presented a live painting demonstration at Border books

and signed his posters to help raise money for hurricane relief. His painting,

'Poinsettias,' was selected and printed on holiday cared for the 2006 Children's

Medical Center's Holiday fundraiser. 'Pointsettias' can be viewed at:

enjoys learning about all genres of art and has been especially

influenced by the Impressionist painter Edgar Degas and Claude Monet, as well as

abstract artist Pollock. He enjoys visiting local museums and

historical sites, as well as studying about composers, architecture, and

inventions. is fascinated by the lifestyles of the 1800's. You can
