Guest guest
Lee, Wait until tomorrow when a lot of people will open their mail. I sent it to problemci and the nucleus22 list. Someone could send it to the Clarion forums and the Nucleus Forum. I thought maybe you'd like to do that. I doubt you'll have to wait until July 31 to have your 100 hits. We are happy to help. Guest guest
I just got finished looking up many of the articles and looking at many of the pictures of the Lyme Rally. I'm in awe of all of you have done! I want to thank everyone of you who organized and were able to show up to be there and tell you that I appreciate everything you have done to help the many of us who cannot be there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart... I wish you well - a healthier tomorrow and thank you for standing up for all of us! Guest guest
I won't swear about sainthood, but Sandy is VERY smart, VERY experienced, and VERY well educated. She's a medical professional with several advanced degrees, and she knows what she's talking about. When we both got kicked off of a different group of a similar name by a controlling group manager who didn't like to be disagreed with, ever.....I started this one....and I, too, am VERY glad Sandy is here. Unfortunately for us, she has a life, and isn't always around the group since she's off in some exotic place having fun.... cheers dan I never complain, never ask why, please don't let my dreams run dry.... www.mylapband.tk Dan Lester, Boise, Idaho, USA Dr. Ortiz, Tijuana, 4/27/03 355/323/212/190 thank you!!!! >Wow, I've learned more in a week in this group than I did in the three years since my >first >pre-surgical consult. Guest guest
Thanks, and thanks, Dan too! I try to share what I've learned - and what i teach my own band clients (I do fills , although not very many any more). When Dan and I were banded about 4 years ago (within weeks of each other, although we hadn't even met at that point), there was very little good band info around. we both did a lot of research and homework to learn what we needed to know, and we're happy to share that. As far as myself, I always want to know WHY something needs to be done, WHY it works and WHY other things don't work. I try to explain things in a way that makes sense to others, so they then can make choices. I've been a teacher even longer than I've been a Nurse. And, imo, teaching is sadly lacking with banding. We learn very very little of what we need to know from our docs, for a variety of reasons. Mostly, they simply don't KNOW the things needed to exist day-to-day with the Band. Most of what I learned came from other experienced Bandsters befor me, who also took the time to teach. I believe in payback to others now. I've seen how incredibly better my life is since Ive lost weight (got to goal in about a year, been at goal for 3+ yrs by now) - and I want to do what I can to help others get back to a better life too. I'm also a professional nature photographer, and travel a lot for that, since I'm mostly retired from nursing. But I will be better about posting here. In the last few months, i have been on another site and neglecting this one, I'm afraid. But people should also know that both Dan and I are pretty blunt and " tough love " types of people. We will tell things as we see them without sugar-coating, and ask you sometimes to look at difficult things, and consider new things that may not be comfortable. To be successful at banding, we have to shed a lot of old habits, thoughts, excuses, and " beliefs. " What we were doig before obviously didn't work, or we would not have needed banding! :-) SAndy R at goal x 3+ yrs .. > > I won't swear about sainthood, but Sandy is VERY smart, VERY experienced, and VERY well educated. Guest guest
Hi, - welcome!! Glad you're here! And welcome to all the new people! I'm going to suggest that we all, both new and old, introduce ourselves in a " Roll Call " so we know a bit more about each other. That makes the site more personal and friendly, and ultimately helpful, i hope. Clue about - doing EXCEPTIONALLY well, is VERY wise and knowledgeable, and does not sugar-coat things just as Dan and I don't. I'll add my " Roll Call " info later today.
