Detoxx Diet

Three & four years ago there was a discussion in this group about the

Detoxx diet, which was developed by Kane, S. , &

Neal Speight in 2002.

My LLMD has suggested I followed the Detoxx protocol to see if I feel

better. I've been on abx for going on 5 years and get sick every time

I stop taking them. He's thinking that maybe I'm suffering from abx

toxicity.

The diet is like the Atkins diet with lots of supplements. And it's a

high-fat diet: butter, full-fat dairy, and so forth.

There's no way I'm going to eat a high-fat diet. There's also no way

I'm going to completely give up grains, either. But I am willing to

move my diet in that direction and to take the supplements.

Is there anyone still in this group who tried the diet in 2003 or

2004? Did anyone have success with it and the supplements? Is anyone

still on it? And has anyone tried it since?

Jessie:

I studied a few diets and this is what I settled on. Veering from this,

brings back numerous symptoms, so it must be working. No: wheat, barley, rye,

dairy. Only organic apples, corn, soy. No sugar substitutes, unless have to

with supplements. Low sugar. Try to consume some raw food everyday.

Organic foods as much as possible. No soda, no corn syrup. No perservatives,

no

artificial anything. A little color here and there does not bring back

symptoms. Soda and wheat bring back symptoms that are severe. I occasionally

allow them swiss cheese. For some reason, many people don't test allergic to

this that are allergic to all the other dairy. We use Rice milk in our organic

Toasted O's cereal. Avoid MSG and all processed foods. MSG is labelled on

processed foods also as " natural flavoring " . Take digestive enzymes.

Digestive enzymes will keep undigested food from floating around and feeding

pathogens and also free up the immune system more to kill pathogens. Many

things

used to fight pathogens and toxins are also used by the body for digestion.

Thanks, Heidi. I guess it's whatever works for an individual. I went

on a gluten-free diet for a while and it made no difference. The

Detoxx diet allows no corn in any form because of some fungus or other

that it can have; same goes for peanuts, yet mushrooms are allowed --

go figure.. It also allows no fruit at all -- due to the sugar in it.
