Hi,

I was diagnosed with Lyme in Aug of this year. I believe I contracted it in

May or June bec. that is when my symptoms started. I had gotten my menstrual

cycle this week and got really sick. My lyme symptoms seemed to worsen. I did

not know what was going on. When I started the abx I was feeling so much better

then all of a sudden I got sick. I then contributed to getting my period. Now

that I am a few days into it I am feeling a little better. I am glad to hear I

am not the only one having that problem. What is unizyme? How do you get it?

I never hear any discussion how menstruation affects Lyme : either

symptoms intensity or herxes ... Lyme seems to cause more pain during

cycle, But I help this by taking large doses of UNIZYME (WOBEZYME)

during period.Sometimes my lyme symptoms are better after the period

but not always.

Hi Rhonda:

Nothing is " taboo " here, all you have to do is ask. Research shows

lyme disease can cause irregular cycles. Lyme can also cause them to

be heavy and painful and sometimes the complete opposite, a cessetion

of menstral cycles can happen. It can also cause intense PMS symptoms.

Yippee... :-(
