Same family much stronger and effective. From what I understand It is not an Abx. It is as hard on your bodies as Abx and is why many LLMDs wait to put you on it prefering to use herbals. I mean it is real hard on the Liver, Kidneys, Gallbladder so on. But it is for yeast not an the Infection. It works on Candidia. . Taken daily while taking Abx it works as profolactic to prevent getting Candidia. If LLMDs are attending conferences and prescribing it, this is a good thing. It shows to me that they are open and willing to accept the dangers along with the good. Danger meaning how hard it is on the system. This is my opinion but taking high doses of Abx is dangerous and I am willing to take them and I am willing to take the risk with Diflucan also. For me there is nothing worse than getting Candidia and being told to take more herbals. While I continue to slam my body with high doses of Abx. Thanks for this Forum. Millie Guess they are learning new things all the time Millie ! This will be great if it works ...especially if it kills of lyme AND prevents yeast ...you've got yourself a double whammy ! Ask next time you see your llmd ! I hope you are having a good day ! kat
Guest guest
I started taking 100mg of Diflucan several months ago. I'm also on Ceftin. I'm suppose to try to get up to 200 mg Diflucan a day, but I herx really hard on it. The Ceftin I'm fine with. They did when my Kate started breaking out ..I have since ordered her proactive and its clearing really nice! Kid never had a pimple until she was 21 or so ! Poor thing ..shes so pretty and it bothers her so much ! Its just on her chin where she leans on her hands in clases ! Who knows ?

Went to see my llmd because I almost dragged her there. Her IgeneX was full of bands ! She had been complaining of severe headaches ( I have never gotten these but I know many do so I suspected maybe she had lyme) , neck pain and her joints in her fingers are very swollen. She thought she had arthritis ...but she is only 43 with no family history. Hence ...the dragging to Dr. E. Like I was , she is SHOCKED ...but now it explains some of the weird things that have been going on with her. Very forgetful (we used to laugh about OUR forgetfullness), very tired, depressed, headaches, you name it ....I am relieved she got a diagnosis , but feel so bad. She has a little one and two bigger ones and HAS to keep nursing. FYI ...a pain doc has been sticking her in the neck with God only knows WHAT for these headaches ...as of course like many of us she had a negative western blot and elisa ! GO FIGURE !!! Hope everyone is having a nice day ...I need a nappy !!! ;-) Kat

Guest guest
I have learned esp for son and husband to go cautiously. Talked with the dr yesterday and they suggested for my son to stop the Doxy and Nystatin-because of his increasing shortness of breath (am sure he has alot of yeast and leaky gut syndrome) and start with the Diflucan- so plan to give him 1/2 in the am when I will be home. He wants to treat him for the yeast til he feels better and then start him on Ceftin. He was getting to the point where he wouldn't take hardly anything for me, so again time will tell. He hasn't eaten any Ramen noodles for the last couple of days-(I totally hate those things-even the smell!!) altho he's eaten stuff that will feed yeast, am very hopeful that he will continue to eat a bit better- altho he's got a long ways to go. Yep it's probably hitting the yeast- mine is in my head-some of it causing some of the brain fog. Darn stuff!! I've thought about going up to 2 like it says on the bottle, but have too many things going on for a few days to afford to feel lousy again. Take care Rose Marie > > > In a message dated 11/29/2005 9:06:28 P.M. Guest guest
Yep I get very frustrated/ sad/guilty/etc when I think of everything he's been thru- altho he's not nearly as bad as many, but it's so dang unfair. Of course as a parent anything that happens to our kids isn't fair-but I just keep thinking that there's got to be a positive there somewhere... just have to figure out what--- Then too I think once we all get thru this we will have a much better idea of how to take care of ourselves and hopefully prevent future problems- whereas most folks don't have a clue about all of this- I sure didn't until this year...
