Elaina,

Have you tried taking Mepron with 'fatty foods'?  This was something that had

been pointed out to me by other Lymies + Pharmacist.

I was on it for 10-months / twice a day + azithro and essentially took it with

my meals with little or no problems re: side effects or taste.

Good luck!

I learned from this group, after I went off Mepron that I should have taken it

with fatty foods. Well, during the time I was taking it, I felt very drawn to

having an avocado with salt on it every evening when I took it. I think that I

had butter on my toast in the mornings with the other dosage.

My body simply was telling me to do that.

Right now, I am on rifampin, but will revisit Mepron in about two to three

months. So, I will be sure I have a good supply of those wonderful California

avocados.

Yes, it is vile tasting and it made the inside of my mouth feel numb. Having

used herbs for years, I was able to ignore that part.
