Guest guest
I know I always feel much better when I drink about 100oz of water per day. I was wondering if anyone know why drinking Water helps with the Lyme? I know it hydrates but it also seems to give me energy? ? ? Guest guest
: I am not a dr., but H20 is what the body is mostly made up of, and it hydrates every cell that we have, it also puts and circulates oxygen through the cells, which Lyme hates and can't survive very well in. I hope that may help answer you question. If you look on-line about how H20 helps and energizes the body you will be given a wealth of knowledge. Guest guest
Kat, :-) I have been known as a smart ass since I was in 4th grade and my teacher was screaming at us rambunctious kids with tears running down her face; she screamed " don't you kids listen to me " so I had to stand up and ask her " what I didn't hear you " . Thrown out of the class as quick as a whip and from then on I have known my true calling ;-> What a wise ass... OK, so far you and I seem to have a Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus relationship. I have tried to get you to quit smoking, to stop eating sugars and simple carbs and I have tried to get you drink more water. You must think I'm the anti-Kat :-) It's much like the conversations I have with my wife. Your lucky I'm used to being ignored (he said with a smile on his face), I said your lucky I'm used to being ignored. I know when I was in the toughest parts of my recovery I felt like I was the " Boy in the bubble " . I had to do all of these crazy things as well as avoid being around anyone that was sick. Yes I had a screaming match with my sister one time because she was sick and I wouldn't come over for a family event. You have to get your body as healthy as possible to speed up your recovery. And here is the kick in the ass, your really going to luv me now. You should start an exercise program that is appropriate for your condition. If you can, start an aerobic exercise routing. This will oxygenate your body and kill the Lyme. It will also strengthen your immune system and your entire body. I know that not everyone can do an aerobic work out. But if you can it will help with your recovery. Obviously check with your doctor before starting any exercise program to be sure it is ok for your condition. So now how much do you want me to invite me over to go out on the back porch for a cigerette, shot of JD (oh yeah, you can't drink either ;-), some Animal crackers and sit around and bs for the rest of the night. Trust me before the Lyme I was one of the most care free people you would ever meet. I just needed to adjust some simple things to feel better so I could get back to my old self. You have the most important thing you need to recover. That is a great sense of humor and a great outlook on life! Keep it up. It's been a pleasure to read your posts the last couple of days. No one can change everything in their life. Just try and focus on one thing at a time to help your recovery! Enjoy and be well, > > > In a message dated 11/29/2005 12:37:31 P.M. Guest guest
Bill, Thanks for the great information! I didn't know that it helped to oxygenate our cells. That is GREAT news. I'm going to go down a bottle now to get some oxygen into my cells. I also believe that it helps us recover from Lyme by removing the toxings from our system and helping to keep us gererally healthy. I have often heard that fresh lemon juice squeezed into water in the morning and in the evening help to detox our liver. I'd be interested to hear any other benefits anyone else knows about in the group. I'm trying to make get my wife to drink more water as she has recently recovered from Lyme so I'm trying to introduce some healthy habits into our day. I know Kat, shame on me, but shhh don't tell my wife ;-) Thanks and be well, > I know I always feel much better when I drink about 100oz of water per > day. Guest guest
Yes I've read many, many places that the lemon juice (fresh is best- but I use concentrate) in water does help your liver. It also helps your stomach digestion. And yes ALOT of water to flush out everything- I can tell when either I'm killing yeast or something, my right lower back and sometimes the left too begins to ache and I have to drink more and it will go away. It will also bother if I smoke more than 6 cigs in a day or don't drink at least a gallon of water a day. It's interesting to note that I've had this for years off and on. And even when I first began to drink green tea this would happen, so I know that even the tea was doing something right. Some of the Hepatitis C groups talk about this and I read it other places also. Rose Marie > > I know I always feel much better when I drink about 100oz of > water per > > day. Guest guest
Hi Kat I had only one UA that I remember several years ago when I had a bladder infection and from what I know that's all it showed. I've had the lower back discomfort/heaviness off and on for along time (at least 5 years)- I'd thought it was from overwork, stress, tired and etc. I found that this last year when I first started drinking green tea, taking vit C, digestive enzymes, probiotics and now the antibiotics and stuff for yeast it would come back with each for awhile. I don't have blood in the urine, but do have a cloudy substance in a kind of loose bunch- but not with each time of urinating. I really think it's the yeast, toxins or whatever getting peed out. My daughter when she started with the anti yeast medicine had this cloud also and my son said he had " chunks of cloudy stuff and neither had ever said this before. Neither to my knowledge has the achiness in the lower back. I think it's probably due to my age, years of smoking and etc, that my kidneys just can't handle it as well and protest sometimes. I've seen those passing a kidney stone and it's nothing like that bad of pain. I'm not familiar with polycystic kidney, altho I have read that lyme can cause cysts- esp in the breasts. Mine aren't as tender or have the cysts they've always had- they began to get better after I stopped drinking milk except for a glass every other day or so (I used to drink upwards of a gallon in the summer when I was busy and skipping meals). As far as exercise- I've always done quite a bit of physical labor (chores, garden, etc), but am not doing near as much as I used to (no energy or motivation esp the last year), altho this last month since I'm feeling better I have been deep cleaning the house slowly. I've read on lymestrategies (where they are using the pure salt and vit C for lyme) that several people had had their urine/kidneys checked and all was fine even tho they had pain/discomfort. (I quit the sea salt for a week or so now- was taking 1gm a day- probably will try it again at some point as this also causedsome discomfort. I'm kindof afraid to use our insurance too much as I've heard horror stories of folks being told they were uninsurable and I don't want to have that happen. Appreciate your concern- this last time the foot, back and emotional roller coaster lasted 3-4 days and wasn't near as bad as it had been previous times- it has to be my herx- altho it does't follow an exact # of days perfectly, but then I've only been specifically treating for lyme since Sept and have adjusted/ tried different things too. Guest guest
Kat Since you started right off with 2 of the Diflucan- maybe back off for a day or 2 and let your system flush the gunk out, then start back at 1/2 a tab. I noticed that things tend to work on a 3-4 day schedule. I've read that your intestines renew themselves (the cili) every 3 days. Just a thought. If you get too much junk circulating your body can't handle it and I would think that it would recirculate- but I don't know that for a fact. I just always think this stuff has to come out via pee, poo or sweat, and washing it out seems like the easiest to me.. LOL. Have you ever taken an Epsom salt bath? My husband says it really helps with the itching. Then use coconut oil to put back the oil in your skin, it also helps with the itching if it's not too bad. The Epsom also will let you absorb som Magnesium too. Thanks for calling me a girl-- that hasn't happened for years..LOL!! I'm probably your age or older.. BTW My motherinlaw said when things pile up that that way you know where you've been when you do get to it.. Can't remember- do you take a systemic enzyme? How about your B vit levels? The dizziness worries me- I really think you should back off a bit and let stuff clear out and then start back slow--(said this twice didn't I??) Take care Rose Marie > > > > > Good Morning Rosie > Thanks for your post !!! You seem like such a sweet girl ! Yup ...I know I > am out in left field most of the time ! ha ! Who cares ?
