Can Motion Sickness be made worse by Antibiotics?

I have suffered from Lyme disease for 8 years and was just diagnosed

last month by my family doctor (now a LLMD). Yea!

I've been taking 500 mg of Cefuroxime (Ceftin) twice daily for more

than 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I have been struck with increasingly

worse motion sickness (which had not been a major issue before

treatment). Sometimes, I can't even read or watch TV without getting

so sick I have to lay down and close my eyes.

I have seen a few obscure internet references that some antibiotics

can contribute to motion sickness. Has anyone experienced this

during antibiotic treatment?

Of course, it could be part of my Herx reaction, which began on day 7

of my treatment. But my motion sickness did not disappear when my

low grade fever, rash, and fatigue improved on day 14.

I wonder if switching to a different antibiotic might help (e.g.,

doxycycline).

I'd appreciate any opinions you might have.

Thanks,
