Guest guest
I was wandering if somebody can shed a light on our what we observed recently based on your experience. My daughter with Lyme and coinfections have been treated with modest success so far. Her neurological problems have been depression, mood swing, anxiety, OCD etc. . Recently we started on LDN (25 days on 1.5 mg) she has been treating some deficiencies of iron and thiroid hormones by starting supplements recently and we have been doing neurofeedback. We do not know if they or the neurofeedback precipitated a change but during the last few days she developed a periodical tick on her head, twitching. It seems like it is pronounced when she is anxious. This was very pronounced after her last Neurofeedback session, when even her whole body started to twitch. In the evening this was not pronounced - even relaxed with no signs of depression but this morning the tick is there again. Have you had any similar observations with patients or self? What we are trying to understand is if this could be a flair up of symptoms she has not had before or this is a progression of her disease. Do we need to stop LDn for a while to see if this will clear? Regards, Valentin
Guest guest
Ummmm ... not to be critical but ... Started LDN 25 days at a very low dose AND Iron and thyroid supplements - unnamed But you suspect the LDN? It could be but certainly. But it sounds like you started multiple new things at once and did not mention a full list of what she is being given. It could be one of the supplements. It could be some combination of things she is taking. And yes, I suppose it could be the LDN. If you are supporting the thyroid with iodine the tic might be from bromide detoxing. I got an eye tic that lasted only a short time and quickly resolved when I upped my unrefined salt intake to push the bromide out. Too many variables, most of which are unknown. Guest guest
Hi Dr. Skip, I don’t know what would have caused these tremors and tics. My wife’s cousin is the only case I have heard of until this recent one. She is one of your customers and is still buying things from your shop. She only took one pill and woke up the next day with the tremors. Since she had never had them before she blamed the LDN and stopped taking it. She is basically healthy otherwise. Her daughter has seizures that are controlled with medication. Maybe these are Herz reactions because she is fighting something and LDN was bringing it into the forefront.
