Guest guest
I just thought that I would mention that one of the first worse symptoms I had at onset of Still's was severe pelvic pain. I have read in several places that this is common with Still's. I also have endometriosis, but I have had that for years. I thought when I first started getting sick that maybe I was getting a migraine (had dull, achy pain at the back of my head), then the rash and fevers came, then the sore throat, then the abdominal pain, and shortly after that came the overall body pain. I was so confused with the assortment of symptoms that I was having, I didn't have a clue what was wrong, but I definitely knew that I was deathly ill and needed help. Shortly after getting on prednisone the abdominal pain eased up; I do still have it from time to time, but when you have endometriosis it is hard to know exactly what is causing the pain. Anyway, just thought I would add my two-cents-worth. Love and hugs..... Traci > Wow you guys, > I had surgery last November because I was having such bad pelvic pain. Good to know....but sorry you had to go through it. The past few weeks have really worn me down! I'm almost deperate enough to take a 10 day blast of prednisone. I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!! (wsm311@...) Guest guest
went to bed early and slept in late today, unusual for her. She ate breakfast normally but then seemed off, tired and droopy but nothing too horrible. She said her back hurt and when I asked her to show me where, she pointed to her tummy. I did some light pushing and she was saying " Ow " all over, from below rib cage all the way down, then really complaining below the belly button down between her hip bones. A few days ago she was having some redness and tenderness like she was brewing a vaginal yeast infection, but it didn't seem to really go anywhere. I considered UTI, but she's urinating fine, no complaints there, no fever. Considered appendicitis but again, no fever, plus her appetite is 100% normal. Decided to wait and watch, noticed that she was easily able to be distracted and play normally, it was not at all like she was sitting around doubled over or anything even near that. Hours later I assumed it was gone but then when it was finally too late to get to the ped, she said, " By the way Mom, it's still a nine. " Meaning the pain, on a scale of 0-10. I explained to her that with a nine she wouldn't be able to stand, she'd be doubled over howling. So she adjusted it to a seven. I called the ped but obviously no one gave him the message because he didn't call back, which is not usual. I would have called again no problem, but all of a sudden at 5:30 or so she was saying it didn't hurt. It was NOT like she had a big bowel movement or anything at all that would explain the sudden turnaround. I'm confused. She was obviously in pain when I was pressing her lower abdomen, I know that was real. I also know she was so focused on saying " ow " that she said it regularly with every push even when I tricked her and pushed on her leg. Sigh. I wish I could read her mind (only for that, I don't think I'd WANT to read it the rest of the time: " My mom is so weird! " ). Obviously if the pain increases significantly or a fever pops up, we'd be off to the ER tonight. But other than that I guess we'll see what tomorrow brings. Maybe a urine culture. (mom to , age 6, dairy intolerant-related GERD -- currently has polysaccharide antibody def, previously had transient IgG, IgA, t-cell & other defs... and also to Kate, age 2-1/2, more dairy intolerant but very healthy!) Guest guest
Hi , I read this too late last night to reply, but sometimes I feel very similar to that when I am having a flare up of IBS. One of the things that seems to trigger it is asparteme (I'm thrilled now that Coke now has a Diet Coke using Splenda, cuz Diet Coke is my favorite soft drink. I really dislike the sugary tasting sodas). Anyway, when I have a flare up, it feels bloated and tender all the way down my intestinal tract. Sometimes it feels like a pocket of air gets trapped in the pelvic region and it hurts like the dickens. It hurts so bad that I don't want to move, but exercise is the best thing to get it settled down. The body movement helps it move out of my system (the " it " being whatever food I ate that triggered the problem or the bloating that was a result of what I ate). It's been a couple of days since you posted this. I hope got over quickly whatever was going on. God bless, Wenoka PS - Everyone keep my in your prayers. I start school on Monday! My mom (she was not a great mother growing up, but man, that woman knows Everything!!!) thought it sounded like a gas bubble, because that would explain how it could disappear so suddenly. and I both have some features that remind one of IBS, but not enough to say for sure. As a child I would be doubled over with stomach cramps on the way home from Red Lobster (buttery food), sometimes it would happen with chocolate and other things. We went through a spell where every time we ate at a restaurant, would spend the last 1/2 of the dinner in the john with diarrhea. I figured it was the greasy food as well. I have pinpointed my more recent episodes to overdoing chocolate... oh well, it's a forced method of restraint!! Good luck with school!!!! Guest guest
I had the same problem for months!, Finally found a gyn who gave me a low dose of elavil . That got rid of the problem. He said it was due to an inbalance of hormones being released down there. Boy was that painful. I thought G-d was punishing me or something. Guest guest
My pelvic pain is all related to my Vulva - original diagnosis was Vestibuladynia with possible Pudental Nerve Entrapment but it's not just in the vestibule but in the entire vulva area. It started last spring after having a yeast infection for a couple of months. I will be getting very detailed blood work done including my thyroid. I have my first appointment next Thursay with the Fibromyalgia place and then my Vulvar Pain Specialist at University of Michigan (she's known throughout the US - very good Dr.) next Friday. Moving forward to get better! Thanks Molly
Guest guest
> > Hello Bee, > Last night and continuing this morning, I woke up to repetitive sharp 1 second pains in my lower left pelvic region. From the online anatomy pictures, I am assuming this is where my left ovary is located. I've had pains there years ago and I'm assuming this is a retrace? I am fully on the candida diet/supplements since March2010. I do not feel I'm in a state of emergency....no fever, no clammy hands, etc.. >  > Are these pains related to a development of ovarian cysts? I googled and the pain can be an indication of endometriosis, ovarian cancer, and pelvic inflammatory disease. I'm worried that I may be developing something inside my body and not be aware of it. Will the Candida diet halt whatever that might be developing inside my body? My grandmother had a hysterectomy, and my mom had a benign ovarian cyst (size of a grapefruit) that was shrunk by her physician with a chemical injection. From reading your health articles, I know that I inherited the poor nutritional status of my parents, so I feel a bit relieved that my health can be reversed. :-) >  > Keeping my fingers crossed my symptoms are a retrace, +++Hi Anne, I agree that you are retracing for sure! Good for you! This will help you feel more secure that you are progressing towards health and NOT towards dis-ease, which is from the Retracing article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php Healing Reactions Versus Dis-ease Reactions 1) Was one following the entire health program including diet, rest, supplements, etc.? Healing reactions occur most often when the body is given all that it needs. If the complete program is not followed strictly, the reaction is less likely due to healing. And remember that " more is not better " so doing too many treatments, taking more supplements, herbs, etc. overwhelms the body so healing may actually stop. 2) Was one feeling better before the reaction occurred? Healing reactions require energy. One's energy level often increases until it is sufficient to initiate a reaction. Often a reaction occurs just when one is feeling stronger. 3) Had the symptom(s) occurred in the past? Often, old symptoms or conditions recur during the healing process, called " retracing. " If one has experienced the symptom in even the distant past, it is due to healing. However new symptoms can also occur. 4) Are the symptoms unusual? Healing reactions often produce odd symptoms and symptoms a person has not experienced in the past. For example, one might develop a sore throat or flu without fatigue or other related symptoms. This occurs when one is really not ill, though one may develop some features of an illness which involve natural healing processes. " All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Thank you Bee for your assurance!  FYI  The oddest thing just happened...a big red ball of blood (about 1 inch in diameter) just came out of my vagina while I was sitting down. Now, this has never happened to me before. (I am strictly on my diet/supplements.) My 13-day period stopped 2 days ago. The interior of the ball does not have the texture of coagulated blood but of fabric strands as I pulled the ball apart. Weird.   I'm assuming my body is trying to get rid of toxins. The only toxin I introduced years ago into my vagina was OTC anti-fungal cream for my yeast infections.  My journey to health is getting very interesting! :-)  Anne

Your vagina will also get rid of other toxins, so they wouldn't only include what you used on your vagina. Bee

I also have lite pain in my pelvic area. exactly where period cramps would be but it's a more dull pain and it's pretty much constant. When I visited a naturopathic doc a few years ago he told me it was probably the yeast causing inflamation on my cervix. is he right? > > Also, my boyfriend and I use non-latex condoms for protection... I am wondering if this is the best thing to use? I cant find any " natural " forms of birthcontrol. +++Hi Taryn, I did write you a message that your pelvic pain was probably due to " retracing " your previous period cramps - see this article to understand what retracing is: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php Originally the yeast was formed in your cervix and vaginal area in order to heal and detoxify it. Now you are progressing towards health rather than towards dis-ease so your body will retrace each and every episode with vaginal issues you had in the past in order to detoxify, repair and rebuild it. That is because your body finally has the nutrients it needs to heal itself naturally. Here's alternative natural birth control options: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/res1.php All the best, Bee
