Switching over anti-biotics

Hi All

Are there any reasons why it is not recommended to switch between

certain anti-biotic treatments for Lyme disease? For instance if you

switch between tetracyclines and macrolides, or in particular one of

these and IV treatment - are you supposed to leave a gap? If so for how

long?
