Started treatment- herx reaction???

Infected in 2001, finally diagnosed about a month ago.

I am taking Doxycycline 100mg twice a day and was fully warned of the

herx reaction.

I am just wondering how long does herx last?

When I talked to the llmd, I was under the impression it would be a

few days, but not a few days every week.

I have started taking my predinsone again (which I know I am not

suppose to when on the Doxy) so I am walking again, but the cure is

worse than the disease. I went to get treated to start to feel

better. The last 3 weeks have been some of the worse of this illness.

I am thinking of dropping the antibiotics, which I know is a bad idea.

Anyone out there that has been thru this, I am wondering how long I

may have to go thru these really bad flare ups till I see any results.
