Robynn, on your list where you send out articles, the one about ticks

surviving winter confused me. Is this accurate? I thought a tick took

a blood meal for a few days, got engorged, then dropped off. This

article seems to indicate it can ride around on a warm mammal all

winter. If its not attached, how would it do this? It's likely to get

dropped off by a human in a shower, or animals in rain or snow. If it

is attached, how could it possibly do THAT? It would be feeding for

months.
