Guest guest
Well AFAIK from things I learned there are NO " legally required " shots with humans. Rabies is legally required for pets but Dr. Dodds is doing a rabies study trying to help our pets. You should be able to get an exemption but I doubt anyone will act like it's no big deal. I haven't done that yet, I homeschool and I don't do daycare at all so vaccines and lack thereof are almost a moot point, esp. as I get more into homeopathy and I don't need to go to the dr. If there are not any major health concerns w/ your baby, why not just skip the well baby checks?? I do. I don't need to charged money to be told my baby is growing just fine when I can look at them and see they're growing just fine yk? Eating well, pooping well, acting happy..... I think the well baby visits are just a gimmick to get the shots in and besides a doctors office is not the place I really want a WELL baby anyway b/c if they're well going in, they sure ain't gonna be WELL coming out!!!! They're full of germs, even if you do have a waiting room divided into " well " and " sick " .. They share the same air!! And yes, it's OK to never do another vaccine even though she got 3 already. is my last one to get shot up. She was 2 and getting " caught up " and then peter was born and in that time, I decided we'd never do vaccines again so she is officially way behind but she's very healthy and I think the best thing now: I don't fear these diseases. I think that is the biggest factor why people vaccinate: they fear the disease and they believe the lies that the vaccine will protect. Your child could still get the diseases. It's like us, this last winter, we're all taking our vitamins good, forgetting a little but overall good and we all get sick anyway. The thing with diseases, esp. the childhood diseases are: you get the disease and lifelong immunity. The vaccine: you get the diseases in the vaccine, plus the additives in the vaccine, plus any reactions to any of the ingredients in the vaccines and it's not true immunity and it will wear off, if it does indeed give any protection in the first place. I'd rather risk the first than the second. The guilt trip. Why do they get so defensive? There's guilt there too. I think whenever someone is in your face getting all defensive like that then they have guilt over it, somewhere deep inside perhaps..but if they truly do work and they truly do believe in the positive value, why do they need to resort to Gestapo tactics and propaganda?? Why not walk away and say " ok. That is your choice " ? In this case, the individual makes up the whole. The dr sees the big picture of the whole but you are only concerned about you and your family. You don't need to be concerned about the whole. With the daycare, I'd present her info and books to read, articles to read on why vaccines don't work if she pitches a fit. I bet though if there was an " outbreak " the vaccinated kids would be getting sick anyway and your kids will come through just fine. Take Sheri's course on childhood diseases and the vaccine class so you can learn how to handle it when she does get sick. Guest guest
I'm not sure what you mean by " there are no legally required shots " for humans. Each state sets vaccine requirements that you have to follow to get into school and so forth, unless you obtain an exemption. -Angie On Thursday, April 12, 2007, at 11:45 AM, Venita Garner wrote: > Well AFAIK from things I learned there are NO " legally required " shots > with humans. Guest guest
Hi Tabitha- I'm in IA as well and although my children are partially vaxed (my youngest has a form of polio brought on by her IPV--so we will NEVER vax again), I do have the religious exemption. You can't get a philosophical exemption in this state. Anyway, I've never had a problem with my kids' activities. I don't think it's legal for any place to deny them access due to your religious beliefs which is what that exemption would fall under. Even if you don't belong to a church you can use this exemption. In my case, my church doesn't have an opinion however my dh and I consider ourselves to have the right to decide whether we vax or not based on our belief that God put us in charge of our children while they are living with us. I don't mean to start a big philosophical discussion. I just meant to give you an example of our reasoning and what is considered acceptable under the law. Hope that helps... Guest guest
thank you venita for all of your advice! i was afraid stopping the vaccs would give her a partial immunity or mutate her cells or something crazy if i didn't follow through it's good to know that doesn't matter... i plan on signing up for sheri's course tonight and am excited to take all this information in! i stopped vaxing my dogs because of the dangers years ago (cept for the legally required rabies) you'd think i would have made the transfer to people sooner tabitha >From: " Venita Garner " <nitagarner@...> >Reply-Vaccinations ><Vaccinations > >Subject: RE: newbie hello >Date: Thu, 12 Apr 2007 10:45:59 -0500 > >Well AFAIK from things I learned there are NO " legally required " shots >with humans. Guest guest
I'm not sure what kind of letter you mean. I haven't signed anything for my children who are not yet school aged. I just tell the activity (whatever it might be) that we have a religious exemption to vaxes and they've always accepted that. With my school aged dd, I fill out a little card for the school district and that's it. Kristi in IA > > thank you kristi! > do you know if we need a letter to go along with the certificate as well? Guest guest
That's okay. She's really doing pretty well. It appears to be incurable but we do what we can. We have a lot of chiro. care and do a lot of physical therapies at home. She also wears a DAFO brace. She's never known anything different since she was only 3 (well technically 35 mos.) when it happened. She just takes it all in stride. And thankfully, it isn't getting any worse. Guest guest
Hi, I want to introduce myself. My name is Dr. Rick B L.Ac. I had lyme for 6 years and got rid of it using natural medicines and electromagnetic therapy. I then got morgellons fiber disease and got rid of it in 9 months with the same. I was rebit in November and am 85% better with same. I have an information only website called healthfreedomsolutions that talks about natural therapies and lyme in the forum section. I am seeing patients again in Northern California and consulting on the phone if one is interested and I will try and post what I know on a particular topic if I know something that is useful. Mycoplasma is a very common co infection that is often overlooked by straight MDs. Homeopathic nosodes are helpful for mycoplasma. Also Dr. Garth Nickelson recommends a series of antibiotics for mycoplasma. It is usually a cell wall deficient organism that is not readily detected by the immune system. Regards accudoc Dr. Rick B accudoc1@...
