Sleep? Well, for a while after my Hellers I was just so bonkered out that I could have slept through the impact of two trash trucks crashing...not that that happened but I could have slept on and on. After a while, my sleep patterns were so screwy that I chose a different time to sleep each day and then, a corresponding time to read, sip stuff and contemplate me navel. Meditation came next and then all those sleeping techniques I got from various doctors after years of being an insomniac. I focus on an image I love (in my case, it's a painting of a small sailboat on the ocean) and then I imagine the sounds of Debussey's Barque sur l'ocean, and then, with all that lilting and swooning going on in my head, I actually go to sleep pretty well. As for the other chap who suggested a glass of red wine,

well, that's a great follow up or, a pre-meditation plan. Experiment, that is what I say. Best wishes, too, Deborah

Hi,

I have had a strange thing happening to me...I say its like narcolepsy....I

m wide awake and alert and can be standing and doing something and I'm out

and 2 min to 2 hrs can go by and my family is telling me they cannot wake me

and I just come to and ask why are they looking at me funny. I'm wondering

if its some severe form of sleep walking which I've always done when under

stress. I've had several sleep studies and recently had an EEG and CAT scan

and its all clear but he wants another sleep study. I suffer from insomnia

and can go 5 days b4 crashing. Not sure if its related or not to lyme or

morgellons. I used to follow the insomnia with a 3 day coma but its been a

loooong time. I have noticed that when I'm having a narcolepty black out and

then wake and my finger tips and lips are numb and my whole pillow is soaked

My kids came recently and witnessed one and it scared her and she said she

couldn't wake me at all and I was breathing funny but at age 9 couldn't

describe it.

Has anyone who's had lyme over a year or so experienced permanent changes in

sleep? I know it can be a symptom, but was wondering about its permanence.
