Guest guest
At first I tested positive for Bartonella, but then the lab re-tested as they were having many positives and the test came back negative. However, before testing my doc said I was a " poster child " for Bartonella and he believes it is a clinical diagnosis same as Lyme is. I was on Levaquin 250mg for 1 month, then 500mg for 2 more months. Then I was on Biaxin and Rifampin for 2 months. Most symptoms went away, but at the end of the Biaxin/Rifampin I started to get heel/foot pain again. Now we are into treating Lyme in a combination therapy with Bicillin LA, Zithromax (which will also target Bartonella) and Flagyl. My Bartonella symptoms were anxiety, heel/foot pain, buzzing feeling, alternating hot/cold feeling. The anxiety is gone, the buzzing is hanging around some, but I think it is Lyme. The heel/foot is still there some. Hot/cold still around. Not sure if we got all the Bartonella yet. Another sign of Bartonella (so my doc says) is blurry vision that comes on quickly and is alarming and does not last long. Would love to discuss it more with others. My doc had me on Rifampin a while back but seems to think the IV rochephin and biaxin/tinadaole combo will be a winner. Not sure what others who have Bartonella are taking but would be curious. > >
Guest guest
Hi Robyn, You have all the symptoms that I share with my husband. I have always tested positive. He on the other hand has tested negative. I believe that your doc is on the money with this one. And it sounds like a good combination to me.
