I first started off on Mepron about 6 months ago - starting with 1/4

tsp 2 X per day rampming up to 1 tsp 2 x per day - and taking 250 mg

Zithromax per day at teh same time. Had a horrible herx about a week in.

My insurance wasn't paying for it and it was about $700 dollars a

bottle so my doc aggreed to wait until I switched ins companyies in

July to do more. By then he'd switched to a new protocol of the Mepron

and Zith for 1 bottles worth (of the Mepron) then wait 3 days then

start 250 mg of Flagyl for 25 days, wait 3 more then back on Mepron/Zith.

Had medium herx about 3 weeks into it then leveled off at unacceptable

pain/brain fog during second round.

He THEN swithed me to another NEW protocol

1 tsp Mepron 2 X per day

250 mg Zithromax 3 X per day

250 mg Flagyl 3 X per day

Strted this about 1 week ago. Am now feeling better than I have felt

in 2 years. Just waiting to see when a herx shoe will drop.
